in my t1r i have all around 2.125. I think i have another 2.125 diff i can put in his car. I have to check.

Whats your ideas on a spool in the front on carpet stock racing? No need to right?

Maybe someone already mentioned this but I think different ratios front and rear mean that front tires will be spinning at a different speed than the rear which would probably result in very poor handling. It's also a bad idea to have your belts too tight because of the extra drag it creates which is bad for your drivetrain and your motor...not to mention it just makes you slower.

Xray makes an option part called "low ratio pulley set" which will change all the pulleys on any T1 kit other than the FK which doesn't need them. In the low ratio set the diff pulleys are slightly smaller but also the center pulleys are larger. Be careful, I dont think the pulleys will fit on the optional one-way diff and I am not sure if they will fit a car with a center one-way.

thanks qwiglee, my bro put a spool in for now, he didnt want to take my extra diff. I guess he wanted to stay with 1.77. His belts are loose now after putting in the different diff. Thanks for the help guys.

unforcently, im the only one running a xray on foams where i race, when i talk to the tc3 guys and the losi guys i try to convert it over to be as close as possible to there roll out but not being way off, the only time (for having this car for 3 weeks) i ever have problems with roll out are when im running my foams on the rim or close to it... my car likes small tires but it just gets harder and hard for me to get the gearing right to keep up with the other fast guys. my car to me scrubs off maybe a 10th a corner cuz the fast guys are doing 11.6's and im doing 11.9 and 11.8's, when i ran the cemelon i was fine and when i went to the cemelon 2 pro the car just was like "blah" down the straits and in the infeild... another thing that i did notice was that i also have a slight off-power push coming in to the corner coming off the sweaper and on the front strait aera of my track. im also running AE purples all around since i only have a small assortment of xray springs

Preston, run about a 1.08 - 1.12" rollout for a Chameleon at trackside. Your best bet is to get the low ratio pulleys too.

And as far the car setup, well soon you'll have that taken care of.

Preston, I'll have to look at my set up sheets, ( I think they are in my car), I usually run about 58mm foams and a 128, 28 gear with the low ratio pullies. I run the Reedy. I ran at Trackside a few times last year, but didn't have much luck. I think I even used my T1R chassis and long arms there. At Road Rage my car handled pretty good on Med to High grip. I'd think Trackside right now is med grip right?

well id say more like med to low high grip, im running the t1r chassis and long arms, but soon to be getting a bmi chassis and short arms.

I could only find my rubber setups. When you get the short arm stuff Pm me and I'll give you my setup off of my evo2. You should talk to Stephen I think he went to short arms on his Xray.

from what i know stephen only switched to the c-hubs but idk about short arms. can you PM your rubber setup i dont care if its outdoors or indoors cuz ill be needing both next year

What do you guys think of compound issues on carpet. What type of company, color, shores, etc would be a good pair of foams.

I have JACOs DBL Purple, DBL Pink. And DBL Orange pink (i think), DBL Purple. I seem to get more grip with DBL Purple and DBL Pink. But are there any other combos that are good.

I am interested in any company. (TRC, JACO, ELLEGI etc) If you could just list the company, color (if any), Shore (if any).

For TRC: I like plaids front and purples rears.

For Jaco: Purple/Orange fronts, Purple Rears

i find that the jaco dbl pink/dbl pink and orange works about the same as the trc dbl purple\plaid combo
