JeffC:
Yes the purple should be 10lbs.

Your correct Jeff, if the front sway-bar is effecting the tweak, it is user error. WE ALL HAVE DONE IT!!!

Yes, I have flex decks in-stock. (as of this moment)

It’s better to have an option like the flex deck in your pit box, than to not. Sometimes it can get you to a setup faster if you are racing at an unknown track, or if the track is not exactly perfect. The flex deck will also make the car a little easier to drive. It may not always be the fastest way, but it’s faster than if you are just slamming boards every corner without it. Also, the flex deck is great for bumpy tracks, or tracks that use corner dots. It allows the front of the car and the rear of the car to sort of "pivot" independently from one another, which make for a stable car on irregular surfaces, or when you touch one of those corner dots.

Thistle , You are very welcome.

Thanks to Buster for all the phone help!! Will call again today/tomorrow as I need wheel screws The only bloody thing I did not loctite was the front wheel screws. It was 1 am and I missed this. Lost a wheel in 1st qualifier. Lessons learned, I 4mm cap screw later I was racing

Car was dialed !! Real happy, most nitro's were real loose. Ran the kit tires with Yoko firm inserts. Real happy, with the exception on the motor. No top end grunt. Geared stock (8.23 23.6 rollout). Could not even hold off a contender on the straights Motor is a GM3. Suggestions??

TIA

If this is a tight track then I would try about a 25-26 rollout. If this is a open track try to get the rollout around 29 or 30. THis is what I had to do for the East Coast Champs and my car was a lot faster.. to bad the driver was not a lot better . This was for a P2K2 Motor. You may want to try the higer rollout and then feel the motor after the run to see how hot it is.

Just wanted to let everyone know, we just had the second round of our regional series in Australia, and Xrays came first, second, fourth and fifth.

I came fourth just missing out on the podium by nine tenths o a second, i dumped on the last lap, and was passed a few feet short of the line.

I was only running a 12 double compared to others with eights and nines, i guess you cant beat horsepower. my next mission is to have a play with these low wind motors.

Mike_Webb: Thanks for the info!!. Track tends to be in the middle. They vary the layout every week, parking lot. The main straight tends to be 100 - 150'. It is enough of a straight that I hit 2nd in my MTX-2 and then some from a dead stop. Looks like I need to shoot for ~ 28 rollout as a compromise. I will need to get some more pinions

100-150' straight! I start with a FDR of 6.162 and my Rollout is around 31.59. We have a 150' straight and open track. We run 1/8's so it is never tight. The other track I set up is tighter and smaller, about a 100' straight, and I start out with a FDR of 7.

I now count 6 XRAY's at my local track.

I use the top hole on the bridge and hole (4) on the upright.

RCCadet: Thanks for the info. Looks like I need the measuring wheel to check that length. However, I believe I am right. It is >100 and <150 max as we also run nitro's there.

I used millimeters in that calculator and round to the nearest whole number. I will change it later today so it will accept a decimal.

Twister-

The New arms and hubs will not be out until the Carpet Option is released. Once that is released then you can buy the whole kit as I think you will need other parts then just the Arms and Hubs, but I am not 100% sure about that.
