BTW JD. Thanks for letting me pass to claim 3rd.... actually almost got 2nd on the last lap.

The video is on Horshmam's thread and when you let me pass you yelled "Go ahead Mark!" it looked like you unleashed a crazed race horse. lol.
Lol..no problem. I was playing it safe at that point for obvious reasons... Made the race more interesting for sure. I think steel rain has another vid.posted on youtube. Search tcs horsham.

I think it should because the lower Suspension is the same... at least on the normal TRF 101.
Dont know about the holes from the servomount.

Here is the link from the conversion.

Hi all.
I finally have a tamiya f104 pro.
I'd like to buy the item 54331.
Will it be enough to transform it into an x1?
Then, using that upgrade, will i be able to use hard case lipos and shorty lipos?
At the moment with standard f104 pro i have some trouble fitting batteries...
Thanks to all

Ebay is one place.

You can switch over to 64P spur gears, but you'll need a spur gear spacer, a 64P pinion, and 1/8" diff balls. The stock Tamiya diff balls are 3mm, and slightly different.

Hello everyone, I'm new here, and just wanted to ask a few questions about a new body I've bought.

I originally bought a Tamiya McLaren MP4/5B set, with an F104W chassis. Recently, I bought a current era F1 body, designed for the F104 chassis. Will I be able to fit the new body to the F104W, or do I need to convert the chassis to a standard F104?

Chris

Hey Chris, the body should fit. The main difference between the W and regular 104 is the front A-arms...they widen out the car at the front. But the chassis is basically the same as a standard 104.

Fits as both are the same chassis.

Hi,

I have a question about the front suspension wishbones. I wasted 3 on a racing weekend, all on the right hand side, smashing against the boarding. So I wasted three whole sets of F- (how appropriate) parts. I managed to survive the finals with a braced suspension, don't laugh:

Now, basically, I need to learn how to drive. I managed to hit the same point in the boarding constantly, smashing the right front wheel on it. But anyhow; is this part of the suspension a known weak point, is it worth searching for a 19004373 set (carbon reinforced), or was this just a freak accident due to my stupidity combined with this difficult and narrow track?

Cheers,

Hugo

it's the weak point of the F104. You can use the TRF102 renforced part or event better, the exotek adjustable front arm set (#1205) http://www.exotekracing.com/f104-adj...front-arm-set/
Worth every single penny
