BTW, your car is awesome! I wish my area had an open F1 class. Actually, I just wish my area had ANY F1's to race with.[/QUOTE]

I am considering picking up one of these as i usually race 13.5 rubber sedan so i can attend tcs races here in canada. My question is do i buy the 104pro or the 104 f60? I plan to do all the available tamiya upgrades basically right away, so keep that in mind.

I am planning to race there in a month from now. I will get my butt handed to me though since I never raced onroad. Maybe I should do sportsman first. I have my F104 built, but need to take care of some stuff before I could head up. Glad to see the class is good there.

To be honest i was considering racing the fiberglass chassis(could be advantageous eg:xray t2r) but then i realized i would need the shock, the carbon axle, the alu diff assembly and i think thats the only real differences. But i would like to run rubber tires and i can't paint, so the f60 looked appealing.

You would possilby be spending more in getting a set of better tires as well....

I just finished building most of my F104. Just have to do the paint and install the ESC.
This is a weird chassis. I've only ever had one other pan car in my 10 years in this hobby, a RC10L3T, and this is a lot different than that car, or any other car I've ever had. Damper friction plate thing, just strange, lol. Plus taping the foams to the wheels!
At least it's nice and simple, so I won't get bogged down in adjustments. I just hope the solid rear axle can do a decent job of absorbing the the massive number of bumps that the local track has.
My front wheels don't match my front tires. The wheels are wider than the foam, which is a bit odd. Are all the F104 foams like this?
