I was just trying to help you bro, I know that if a droop screw is hitting the chassis you will need to compress that shock to screw the diff case flush to the chassis with out stripping out a diff case, letting the threads compress the shock will do it, that's all. I did it on my rc8 one time a few years ago. I like to run mine even for symmetry you know. Also the correct diff cases are under $10 to do the coneversion right. IMO!

has anyone thought of lightening up the ring gears?

seams to me that you can drill some holes in the flat part of the ring gear and loose some rotational weight. just a thought

BLACKDRAGON has machined the ring gears and cut some weight there.

Hot Rod Hobbies is a little further away but July 8-10 they are having the Hot Rod Hobbies shootout. If you are not doing anything one of those days the drive up might be worth it for you. That race draws an international crowd as well as the top US electric offroad drivers in the nation. Fun times.

Yeah no better place then So Cal for R/C. We have more national and world champions per capita then I think anywhere else in the world. If you are at the track and see myself, Aaron Lane or Ryan Dunford stop by our pits and we will help you out with your truck anyway we can. Pro-4 is a fun class. OCRC has some great layouts for racing as well.

They probably know me here as Ridley

You can take 5-7 grams off the rear ring gear real easily. I can do that for a small fee for anyone looking to have it done that doesn't have a lathe, but keep that stuff to PM please.

Not much can be done to the front gear, and I wouldn't be comfortable offering to others what I did to mine.
