Does the orion take a full 6500mah? Have you had a chance to check? Just curious as I am looking for a race pack where the specs are not overinflated.

I agree, the 7955TG is the best one IMO but seems like it should be used on MTs. I have had one in my revo for 2 years and its still rocking out. I have been using the 985 with an mmp/2400 with the castle BEC and have had no issues.

Just seems like a lot of mah's burned in 10 minutes. I can get damn near 20 minutes on the track with my 5200 Turnigy's. Granted it's not in a SCTE (because I just got one and haven't set it up yet), but that's in my SCRT10 but it weighs over 6lbs too.
That track is huge

Track size doesn't really matter per se. 10 minutes is 10 minutes whether it's a 60 second lap track or 20 second lap track. Biggest difference would be really long straights and lots of full throttle segments. Of course, this is all just my opinion.

Ok, I just got my truck ready. I bought a Castle SCT sidewinder system for it. I hooked it all up, tested it for maybe 5 min. to set my steering trim, and poof up in smoke. I wasnt even doing full throttle runs. So, now my question is what budget minded ESC and motor should I get for this. I new going in that the SCT sidewinder was pushing it for this truck, but I was trying to save some coin. Now I am going to send it in for repair or whatever and then I am gonna sell it, or keep it for a mod 2wd or something. But I need to know what I can put in this truck for like $200-250 total. Im obviously not gonna get away with the $100 sidewinder price tag.

Any help?

Ya'll are out you're damn minds!
I think there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. The people drilling holes in the battery tray and dremeling other plastics is wrong IMO.

i dont think it will make you faster but it will help wear and tear. Your temps will go down and run time will go up with a lighter truck BUT most tracks do max 10 min anyway, if you can do this your golden i think..... But to your second statement, all i did to mine was changed the grease to 3-3-2 and put light outdrives on it(they fits better then the standard.) and i tq and won my first time out. ride height wasnt set, camber wasnt set, droop wasnt set, not the smartest thing to do but it handled great

Is anyone having problems with the diffs leaking oil? it looks as if its coming from the outdrives. Ive taken the diffs apart and re greased where the groove is but still is leaking...any tips? tia

Hi guys,
Just got my SCTE delivered. Going to be putting a MMP and Tekin SC4X in it with savox 1258 (and castle BEC of course).

Can you guys give me the cliffs notes for the past 882 pages? What are the must do changes out of the box? What has been breaking (so I can order new ones before I run it!).

Thanks for any input

yup, i was told lightened outdrives fixes it, i felt the difference in fit between stock and the lightened ones, they were tighter but mine still leak

I'm sticking with grease, truck feels great and no leaks! I do run fluid in my other track cars, but the grease seems good for me.
