Yep. Still use tape. The carbon lipo retainers are there to stop the lipo from moving or ejecting out.

The TRF guys do not seem to use them and just use tape only.

Tamiya makes a 1-way which it includes with the jap kits. I'll have a look to see if I have one at home, you're welcome to it if I do

Boy I hate this car, I have a worked over 416, not a WE or a X, I have shelved this car for about 4 months now, due to a disagreement, last week I took it out, put in a older speed control and a used up motor, proceded to turn more consistant laps and only a 10th off my best time with the car I have spent a lot more time on. They are both great cars, but my 416 is such a tease.

JCarr, what is it your trying to make the car do??
I'm trying to get a little more steering into the car. I put the shims under the rear mounts and got to make a couple runs on saturday. The car was improved, but I still could use a little more. That's guys for the help and insite on this. I noticed that I have been draggin the rear of the chassis a good bit so I think I may need to go to stiffer springs all around.

You could try 5.5 - 6 for ride height and put a rear bar in.

Thanks, I know I wanted to try 5.5 if I wasn't there already. As i was tyoing my setting and noticed i didn't have the rear bar, I thought that would be something to try also. I had taken it off before because the rear was loose, but that turned out to be different problem all together. I just never did put it back on after that. Thanks for the ideas, I will give them a go and see what happens.

2.5 deg front camber is also an uncommon setting, and you didn't post any of your roll centre settings either, but that's ok. Here is the setup I've been running on med grip asphalt with excellent results, it's very similar to the setup the TRF team were running at the worlds, give it a go

yes, it will fit

lipo lower deck will fit 416, 416WE/X
the upper deck will only fit 416X (because the rear end of 416X is different from 416WE in terms of upper deck screw holes)

Thanks, 2.5 front camber is what the jaco tires seem to like. If I ren less than that it wears teh outside edge of the tire through. I have no spacers under the front bridges and now have .5mm under the rear bridges. Thanks again for the help guys, I wont get out to the track again until 7/31, but I will give these suggestions a shot and see what works for me. Thanks again.
