Although I do run some off-road, I am mainly focused on the on-road cars. It's rare since he is the main designer for the 801's, but every now and then there is a Dave Jun sighting on the on-road track as well.
It's too bad, really. It makes me want to spend my money with a company that supports on-road in this country, like XRay or TOP. Thanks for all you do as the lone on-road guy, though.

Tamiya USA doesn't do any of the R&D on the on-road cars, and with a European team like they have, it's hard to justify pouring too much $$$ into the on-road program here. Their support for me has been great since day 1, and I'm happy where I'm at, especially with how good the cars have been.

Thanks again for your help at the track last night, Randy!

The rest of you guys just need to come out to West Coast Raceway if you need setup help.

I'm currently busy with a custom project and i'm looking for some already made suspension blocks which will fit my needs.

I need a block which has centre to centre distance (for the suspension pins) of 32mm.

So if someone knows if Tamiya (or other manufacturer) has a suspension block which has that size could you let me know?.
And if so I would like to have some dimensions of the block so I can put in in Cad straight away.
Somebody please?.

I'm not sure you'll find what you are looking for. The narrowest block I have is a 1xd and its 39mm center to center. Thats pretty narrow.

I've been running 2-3 times a week for the past few weeks now, really getting my WE dialed. Next week I will switch over to the X, really looking forward to the laptimes dropping even more.

mmm I just finished the build on my new X and it is looking really good. One thing I noticed while chasing the dog around the lounge room is just how great the new bearings are - my original 416 never rolled like the X, it just doesn't want to stop! Hopefully it handles as good as it looks, I'll find out on Sunday

The new bearings are awesome. Tamiya is doing everything they can to get the most efficiency out of the drivetrain...

My wheel hexes are 4.5mm. Is this right? I know people are adding .5 interval shims to the 4mm wheel hexes to widen track but, did Tamiya just make the 4.5 for the X kit or am I just seeing things?

You mean to say Tamiya upgrade the bearings? Don't feel so on my end. But I practically new bearings are surely good.

The new bearings have a teflon seal and a light oil instead of the metal seal and thick grease.
