Skiddins

P.S. I have some of the version that fitted 52mm driveshafts and still use them.
For the best durability.

The v2 did fit 52mm ... and they had issues for some people. The v3 model is cut lower than the v1 but much higher than the v2 models. I suspect they will work with 52mm shafts, just not in all conditions/ configurations.

Default Battery positioning!!

Has anyone experimented with moving the weight of the lipo forward or back. The weight of a lipo is usually around 20g difference front to back so by positioning the plugs at the front should give a different weight bias to if they were positioned at the back.

Does anyone know how this will affect the car, should you always aim to get an equal weight bias front to back?

Weight bias front to rear is a tuning option. The more weight you have further back in the car, more weight will transfer to the front when entering a corner therefore giving you more grip. The further forward the weight is in the car the less it will transfer when going into a corner therefore giving you less grip.

You don't need to aim for 50/50 weight bias front to rear, most of my setups have slightly more weight in the rear then the front.

I installed and ran the new offset servo mount last night. It seems nice, but not as solid as I was hoping it would be. I did about 5 runs with it and no problems, but time will tell how it holds up.

What about it didn't seem solid? I have it in the car I'm building up now and it seemed like it was going to hold pretty well but I don't even have a servo connected to it right now.

My one looks and holds rock solid....
You can also apply some servo tape if you want but I couldnt get why do you think it may fail?
Cheers

It just flexes more than I would want it to.

Default T3 2012

Really pleased with the performance and reliability of my 2012! Car is dialed on carpet with our club spec Sweep True Blue tires. I am Running the car virtually stock with the exception being the 50mm ecs shafts and the Side Piece Racing spool outdrives! My only real complaint is the $12.00 shock bladders that tear occasionally.

I've been using the Reflex bladders in my Xrays for about a month and they seem to be more durable. I haven't torn one yet and they build great with no hassle in the Xray plastic shocks.

I would love to see a purpose-built body tuck solution for the 13.

I would like to see alloy shocks ,ECS shafts and a 2mm chassis as standard equipment.

I guess 2mm chassis, centre servo holder and alloy steering arms = t3 2013

You guys are crazy if you think XRay is going to throw in $350 worth of hopups in the new kit.

The topdeck and chassis shapes will see slight changes. Maybe the servo mount will get thrown in. Perhaps the camber link plates will be lower with a wider range of adjustment. That's about it.
