Can you mention what tweaks you saw? Just curious. Thanks. I won't hold my breath on a Tamiya designed teflon coated shock. lol

adjustable pistons only pro is the ease of being able to change make a quick change to the shock oil flow. Thats it.
no other advantage...
they tend to get loose and change setting after crash/etc.
more parts inside the shock...etc.
always go with fixed pistons...no disadvantage...build it and leave it.
Xray shock are very good...when they are built correctly.

The outdrives are the same OD as the bearing ID. If you want the outdrive larger in dia you'll have to install the bearing on the diff case and then build the diff trapping the bearing. I'd rather just change the blade when it wears out...

I measured a set of the ver2 spec R shafts and they were about 1.2mm shorter from pin to post than the Hudy 52mm shafts. I wasn't extremely precise when I measured because it was more of a curiosity to know rather than a need for a specific length but I was pretty close.

New Nikita V3 outdrives now available at www.sidepieceracing.com/products/nikita/. They feature a 90 degree offset to further reduce wear and tear on the drive line. The outdrives are designed for 50mm drive shafts, but might fit 52mm shafts depending upon arm spacing. The depth of the U cut is similar to the original manufacturing run.

P.S. I have some of the version that fitted 52mm driveshafts and still use them.
