this is a long thread... and I'm sorry if I'm repeating a question...
But before I start the build on an R4, is there anything I should purchase and install right off the bat?
Thanks... when I build this thing, I would like to just get it done the first time.
Thank you

Ofcourse I will choose V-one R4... I switch from Xray to Kyosho and my lap times improve a lot...(1.5 sec by lap!!!)...I won 2 stages from national championships, and make the TQ an de Best lap of all the tracks of the nats!!!...
But...If you are noob... choose a Shimo used...if you are more experienced...R4 rules!!!...

I'm not callin you a liar, but I'm willing to bet that there was something def wrong with ur xray if u picked up 1.5sec a lap!!! Thts alot! Thts like D main to the A main! I haven't witnessed those type of gains at our track! Ive heard from X RRR drivers tht the car turns better but it hasn't showed yet in lap times..... But if thts wht the R4 has done for u I would def stick with it.....
I`m very happy (crazy) with this car!!! and the results that I had reached!!!..and it's very sad for me that you had a lot of problems with R4...
So... they only objetive thing that I can say is that the cars is really fast...!!!...I was fast with Xray too (first time that I picked up I got the 1rst place in nats too, and the track lap record)...but R4 is faster....for sure...xD
Here are 3 R4, running... one of those had broke diffs two times...

Setup...Its similar to Shimo's Setup... some a little changes..
Consider that my track has medium-low grip, very dry and a little bit bumpy.
Front/Rear:
Shock oil: 400 kyosho/400 kyosho
Spring: Serpent Red New generation/Serpent Red New Generation
Shock Position: B/E
Caster: Spacer 1mm
Camber: 2º left-right/ 3º left-right
Toe: -1.5º / 3º
Width: 198mm/ 200mm
Downstop: -3 / 2 (measured with tool)
Antiroll: flat / Standar
Tire: Enneti sh37/ Enneti sh40
Tire Diameter: 62mm /63 mm
Chasis Height: 7 / 8
Front Diff Oil: 50% 300.000 Kyosho + 50% 500.000 Dynamite
Rear Diff Oil: 60% 50.000 Kyosho + 40% 125.000 Losi
Note: Not filled to the top...Rear diff feels like 90%... aprox...
Wheel Spacer: 0mm/ 1mm
Upper arm Position: B
Body: Protoform P56-N
Thats the important I think... the others setups are like the Shimo setup...
The car fill a little understeering in the middle and corner exit with gas... I will like to improve that...
Some recomendation¿?...
Regards...xD
