For the number of times this car has won the Worlds with the 0mm configuration, I'm not in a rush.
More importantly, it is interesting to see how AE is handling development. Rather than coming out with a new car, they release updates. They did the same recently with the 12R5.1. Instead of releasing a "Lipo" car, they released an upgrade set. Hmmm AE, what are you cooking up?

They are releasing these parts because they know they can sell the heck out of them.

I wouldn't assume anything based on the release of these updates.
AE knows everyone wants this stuff, so why not make some money?
These parts may have little to nothing to do with the development cycle of the next AE 2wd buggy. I wouldn't assume that they'll even call it a B5 when it does eventually come out. It sounds a lot like the Kyosho RB5 to me, after all.

I need to try the +8 before deciding. The 22, though much more stable, seems to have less weight transfer to get traction out of the corners, or to shift weight forward to dive in. My local tracks are mostly well groomed and have a lot of tight 180s so the weight transfer seems to help get around the track better. Mental physics says a shorter car will do this better, but the difference in the 22 may be something else, such as the low cg with the big aluminum plate so low in the car.
Definitely interested to check it out though.
