I got a weird issue with my 1258. It's currently used on the throttle side on my nitro buggy.
The servo has on a few occasions, started doing this: It'll start to twitch really badly for a few secs and then totally has no responses for abt 5 secs and then resume back to normal. All of electronics work fine during this problem. I tried changing a receiver and using another receiver battery so it can't be from these.

have not seen it on nitro cars but it is common on the electrics running savox servos with spektrum to have troubles.with electric cars it depends on the bec out put if you experiance brown outs or not. suprised that would be the trouble running a seperate battery pack
add a cap to the rx.spektrum make one for it (glitch buster) or you can make your own
most electronic shops will have a 4700uf 10v cap for less than $2
just solder a old servo/extension plug (pos/neg) on to the pins of the cap and plug in to receiver.
i have had a few savox servos and really liked them, but i have a mid size one in a pan car and it seems to loose its centre,i emailed savox but never got a reply

I have a question also for people who run electric of short course. I'm new to short course and need help badly lol ok since I will be running lipo to my reciever Spektrum 3300t, will I need a regulator for non HV servos? I bought the cheap savox 025# something but also have a 1256 for back up to my nitros that I'm gonna try in the truck. Not gonna race it. It's mostly just to drive and have fun. But I'm not trying to see or smell that Nasty smoke that comes out when u fry the electronic. Yes I've done it a few times lol yuck! Thanks

I had the exact problem with a different setup. I had the tekin RS, redline 10.5, and a spektrum sr3000 rx. The savox 1258t is my steering servo. I was able to swap the steering left to right very fast about 3-4 times and then it would "act up". My speed control threw and error code and upon looking it up it stated "low rx signal or power". I bought the $6.00 spektrum rx cap and plugged it into a spare slot on the rx.. problem solved never to return. I actually bought cap's for all my rx's at this point just to remove the chance of a power hungry digital servo from overloading my setup.

Anyone know if the 1268 can handle 2s lipo/8.4v direct?
I did have mine running through a CC BEC powered directly at 7.4v but today I roasted the BEC and thinking about running the servo directly from my 6s lipo (Mugen MBX5T-E).
I have put together a plug and a Y adaptor servo lead that plugs onto the balance plug on the lipo to get the 2s voltage.
I was thinking that the extra drain on 2 cells would be negligible, not 100% sure but I think would be worth checking out and I wouldnt have to worry about burning out another CC BEC (or is there another/better BEC that can handle 6s input and 7.4v output?).
