I have put together a plug and a Y adaptor servo lead that plugs onto the balance plug on the lipo to get the 2s voltage.

I was thinking that the extra drain on 2 cells would be negligible, not 100% sure but I think would be worth checking out and I wouldnt have to worry about burning out another CC BEC (or is there another/better BEC that can handle 6s input and 7.4v output?).
There's guys in the Heli world running 8.4 direct to their Align DS610's all day long on 90 sized Heli's. Which are the same as Savox.

Will running an unregulated lipo on a 1256 servo cause any issues?

I normally run Sanwa or Futaba servos in my touring cars. I just got a SC10 2wd and I'm looking at trying a Savok servo for this application. Would the SC-1257TG handle this? Or would you guys recommend something different?

I would suggest the SC-1258TG just to get the slightly slower transit time. The 1257 is wicked fast and could potentially make your truck feel twitchy. I know on buggies it feels dialed, but never tried one in SC.

Thanks guys. I think the 1257 will suit me just fine. I hate slow servos. If it's too much, I'll just slow it down on my M11x. I just hope it holds up. Thanks again.

the 1258 is still faster than most, but I'm sure you'll be fine either way durability-wise.

Just wanted to say these guys have the best warranty I have ever dealt with. One of mine went bad and I had a brand new one in under a week. Thanks guys!

Just letting you guys know I went with the 1258TG as suggested. Nice servo! Only issue was trying to find a servo horn to fit. I had to press fit a Futaba horn on my SC10 as others have suggested. Is there a "correct" servo horn or true compatible one? Or does the Savox have another unique spline?

..... Or are the SC10 servo horns just that tight? Forgot to add that in because I keep reading Savox are 25 spline like Futaba.

I have read quite a few times that Savox servos are pretty tight fitting, quite often needing to be pressed on.

On my 1268SG, I found my servo horn was also a very tight fit.

Speaking of my 1268SG, it's on it's way back to Savox (I assume they already have it by now), I had a BEC failure (CC 10A) and possibly took the servo with it.
When I initially tested it, it seemed to be working, I got a reply from Savox saying it's fine to run on 8.4v, which I did (to confirm it was working correctly) it stopped after a few seconds.
I was just asked to send it in and if they find a problem with it, they will send me a new one.
Coming from Australia, I thought that was pretty decent, I just hope they do as I've been told.

I had the same issue with both my b4.1 and sc10. I just end up pressing it on and tightening it down with the servo screw. I have never had a problem with it slipping or anything. I think its just the way they are meant to fit.

Buy an Aluminum Horn!! These Dynamite horns are only 6 bucks and you wont have to worry about stripping the plastic ones.

Also the Ti geared splines are the only tight fitting ones I have dealt with.

yea this was both the case for the 1257 and 1258. I was thinking of doing that, but I wasn't sure if any of those horns would work properly in a b4.1 or sc10. Have you had any luck using them on the AE cars?
