Mine fit perfectly... might need to just push the body posts in 1-3mm when you put it on is all. I've tried two RTR SC10 bodies and the fit was the same story!

My holes were bang on, but I did have to trim a bit around the rear bumper. Of course, I had to do that with the body that came with the 4x4 as well. (Body posts are installed to manual spec...though I am getting a bit of tire rubbing in the rear... I may lift it up 1, but I really like the slammed look...maybe some duct tape will help with the rubbing. )

You might want to resend it as I haven't received any emails about leaking diffs.

I remember leaking diffs on my Hyper 9E and building them using black AE grease on the rings solved the problems. Would that help at all here better than the green slime?

That works but for 1/3 the cost you can buy a roll of duct tape that you can use on many many bodies to come. Plus they sell different colored duct tape.now

Yes, on the outdrives you will want to use black grease, not green slime. I know the diffs are prebuilt, but in the manual on page 8, it notes to use black grease.

Hmm I spoke with chris on the phone and didn't seemed too concerned that leaky diffs are a problem on my car....in fact insisted I overfilled the diffs. I've had many cars and never had a problem overfilling. This is the first time I've had trouble keeping any diffs from leaking. In fact, I've had no problem with my rc8be notorious leaky diffs. What I'm getting at, since I'm not the only one with this issue, what will ae do to help me out so I don't have to spend cash on new diff parts? They aren't cheap and you can't buy the o rings separately.

Sorry chris, I'm not trying to call you out. I just want something done regarding my leaky diffs.

Btw, they're leaking from the diff cups.

I wish this sway bar issue was taken care of before the launch or sale of the truck, along with all the other things like shcks coming apart, parts not machined right, parts missing. And to boot, u cant get hardly anything for the truck, only a handful of things. I would have gladly payed alittle more to have everything taken care of p front. I love the truck so far, i just feel, and again, its my feeling, thats things could have been done different.

For those who have their slippers adjusted and working correctly with a 4.5/550 motor. How tight are you having to run it to get it to not slip? I'm having to lock it down and even put a very thin washer under the slipper nut to get that extra little clamping power. I've got a field of cars with V2 slipper springs so I don't think that's the problem. My truck is working, I just don't like having no adjustment left on the slipper. Other brands of trucks seem to "squirt" from corner to corner on the tight sections and this thing just seems a little lazy. Honestly it's just as fast because it's smoother but it just doesn't have that "snap" to make the quick pass....

med. grip track, geared 13/62, clicker locked, running front overdrive pulley,
HD pad on the rear, stock pad for the front..

~for those who, like me, didn't think this truck turned as good as they wanted, the front overdrive pulley makes a big difference.

all these things could have been done but we wouldn't be running this truck until next fall if they did..IMO
new designs always have some issues, the TLR 22 has some and so did the 4wd Durango buggy when it finely came out, and look how long it took to get one of those things..

It's always a possibility that overfilling the diffs can cause leakage, but there are other things that can cause it. The oring could be bad, installed incorrectly, there might not be black grease on the outdrive, etc. One of the biggest questions I have for people who are saying their diffs are leaky, is how long are you waiting between diff rebuilds? If you are waiting a month, then yeah they are gonna leak. If it is only one race night, then something isn't right.

You actually can buy the orings separately, along with the diff gasket. The part number is 9831, from the SC10 2wd kit.

I would recommend taking your diffs apart and put some black grease on the outdrive/oring and see what that does. If you still have problems, email me and I will see what I can do for you.

There is some pretty good movement on my out drives from the diff housing. Very surprised they don't leak. I do use a pretty good amount of black grease on the cup shafts and that also seems to help with the out drive play. I am using 30k in the front diff though. The open bottle fell over on my work bench and did not leak out either. . This is my first truck with gear diff's; I just fill them like the video shows and I have had no issue's yet.
