I've seen people drill a small hole in the inner gear cover, either from the top front (around the 2 o'clock position) or directly from the bottom (6 o'clock) and then covering the hole from the inside with some tape or something.

Personally, I've taken an allen key and cut it down so that it will reach just long enough to tighten my 17t 32p pinion right down. it's a little awkward the first few times, but imho, unless you run on different tracks that require different gearing, you won't change pinions often, and I didn't want to drill a hole in my gear covers...

You can also cut a small notch in the center divider in the belt cover.

so far so good on the testing , been at the track all day today. it works very well. kinda hard to explain it, you dont lose steering(turning radius) but its not edgy it seems more consistent in that how ever you have it set it stays the same throughout the turn. this morning the track was loose so i put the links forward and got more bite, as the day went on and the track got looser i moved to the center and steering felt close to the same. i didnt clearance enough of the arms to go to the last hole which i think would have been even better!
i did mange to beat my best time with a 23.7 but that is not entirely due to the ACKbar, i have some other things in the works too!!

Default traxxas hex

the wider hex are part # 3654 , and you will need to drill them out to 6mm to fit the axle

I will not sell it as my 8yo loves it for playing in the yard but YOU will not be able to truly compete on a track with any mods. We are not the Ryan's and never will be. The Losi sucks too as you have to spend more money to upgrade the soft metal but it is so heavy and planted, we cannot compete unless you have a long main where you know the batts will dump on th Losi.
I suspect AE knows this as well. I am sure I will get flamed but it is the truth.

BTW, I post this knowing I have not had one issue that everyone else has had either. No slipping belt, no bent cvds, no warped a-arms. I do have the clutch basket though.
I will not buy a Losi though and would rather dump the class but will probably build an sc10 out of excess rc8 parts.
Truly. And I mean this... I have never read more Invalid opinion in my life. Congratulations.
