Get some scales, a perfectly balanced truck can make a nice difference. Example if your way hevier on one side then the vehicle will react different when turning left or right, the heavy side will hook and the light side might wash out in a turn. Or think 51/49 weight distribution ect... Doesn't make a ton of difference but it all adds up!

Can anyone tell me if the CVA pins are a regular AE part or specific to the 4x4? I am missing one and would like to pick one up at the LHS if it is a regular part. *hoping* I don't have to order one!

Thanks in advance!

I believe it applies to either, as it was not specified by Chris Jarosz when he posted that.

No. They are a little bit longer. I looked through the parts from all the manufacturers at our LHS and didnt find anything that would work. We had to order the stock replacements, they come in a few different bags of parts.

No wrong, The overdrive pulley is designed for loose tracks. It is designed to pull your truck out of the corner with the front tires. The sensitivity of your steering in the front is going to be controlled by the weight of your diff fluid. The lighter the fluid the more sensitive your steering is going to be.

I ran both the normal and overdrive this last weekend at our very dry local track. It did help to have the overdrive in to keep the truck strait coming out of corners and going down the straits.

Default No lube on slipper thrust bearing?

When I built my truck the manual didn't call for any lube on the slipper thrust beariing part # 91090 . I didn't put any lube on it(wanted to for sure lol)

Anyone have any input on why or why not there should be lube?

Part is cheap so no big deal but it just goes ahgainst my better jugement

I would think that black grease should be used, and will put some on mine (if it ever comes in )

Losi car have used the same kind of thrust bearing. Never used grease on them. Just imagine the mess you would have inside the housing.

Was able to get to the local track last night w/ my new SC10. I'm running, SS barcodes, castle 3800/14t pinion, loose clicker, stock set-up. The track is med. size indoor, high bite surface, Real RC in Blue SPrings, MO.

All I can say is WOW! This thing is awesome. Puts my old Jammin to shame. My Jammin had won quite a few club races, so it wasn't a slouch. This SC104x4 turns like nothing I've driven. I'm pretty sure this truck will add a lap to my count over 5 minutes.

I'm going to go up to a 15t pinion, I built some sway bars, and I'll race it on wed night. I was running the clicker loose as well. I'll report back on the lap times and race results.

If you have a SCRT10 and are thinking about going to the SC10, rest assured that the AE SC10 is worth every penny and out classes the SCRT10 by miles...
