"...water-resistant enclosed receiver box. The suspension also received an upgrade with the addition of adjustable blue anodized aluminum V2 coil-over shocks. The new KMC® replica hex-drive wheels come standard on the SC10RS with high traction JConcepts racing compound rear tires and inserts for more grip. " from the AE web site. Anyone know if these changes will be happening on the FT version?
Thanks

You do realize that a pin is still driving that hex, right?

It is not mentioned but the water-resistant ESC us also rated higher at 70A versus 45A for the standard version.

I meant 1/8 buggies, they all use the same wheels.
it would be nice if short course used standardized wheels. The problem is the width with some of them.
my LHS doesnt stock anything for my SC10, but EVERYTHING for the Slash. Its annoying not being able to walk in and buy wheels.

Hey guys! Huge question. Just got the kenetic esc and ballistic 17:5 motor. Really excited . But..... I know nothing about boost or timing. If you can give a set up and gearing! I run at a indoor clay track and hot rod hobbies. And while I am at it, before I start any little tricks I should know?
I was wondering if you found a good setup for Hot Rod's track? I've been running 25/75 with 20* timing on my kinetic and neutral on the Ballistic and it has been pretty decent for me. Just looking for more of an edge. My temps tend to climb after 7 mins.

I've been running on a technical indoor track with clay. I feel as if I'm not getting enough corner speed coming out of the turns.

What do you guys think of this gearing on this set up:
Tekin RS-PRO - 8.5t Redline
84/17
Think I should gear up on the pinion? I've seen Kody Numedahl's set up running a 20t on his 8.5. Although, his gearing was 87/20. Not 84/17 -- on loose dirt outside track (large track)
Which is what I'll be running on.
Think I'm undergeared with a 17?

But isnt the slippers job too adjust how much power is being put to the ground so there isnt a burst of power making the truck tires spin all the time depending on the track? Im running at a loose low grip track so i do need the slipper to work properly. Well i'll try this and see by the way will the 2wd high torque slipper pads work on the 2wd? Reason i ask is because even tho it says 2wd sc10 the holes on the 4wd pads look smaller then the 2wd pads, so will i have to cut them out so they fit or is the pic on AE's website mis leading?
Also, you are correct. The new slipper pads, the center hole is smaller. They fit right on. No need to cut anything.

Hey I'm thinking about switching to a tekin rs speed control and a 13.5 ballistic motor. How much timing should I run in the motor and as well what should I set the speed control up timing wise and Rpms. Should I go up or down in gearing. Thx in advance
