all the ball cups are good I checked those and the hingpin was eggshaped thanks for that to look out for, although the servo I was using turns really fast to the left and noticeably slower to the right all the end points are the same on the radio. I used the Hitec ultra torque HS-645MG, I bought it used from a guy at the track for 30$ just to get rid of the stock servo I have used it for about a month with no problems now this. Oh and its slow to the right with a load on it and without a load on it.

Ok just wondering. I've read that some people have been blowing out their rear outer hub bearings and thought it may be related to the hex conversions. I've noticed on my hex conversion kit (JC), the hex may squeeze into the bearing with more force when the wheel nut is tightened, compared to the stock roll pin setup. Maybe not though.

Hmm two threads for the sc10 4x4... Ive read some people are running 6.5-7.5 540 motors. Im planning on doing the same with a tc spec v2 and not sure what 6.5 yet. Any sugestions from the guys running these?

Ok, as my signature indicates I have been racing an Associated FT SC10. I am considering using the 12mm front/rear wheel adapters from Proline. My questions are, does this improve performance and if so, how?
I have alot of tire selection now using the axle pin wheels and this would be a downgrade because I wouldn't be able to use them.
Is this a good move and if so, does anyone have any suggestions about the currently mounted tire stock? Should I remount them onto 12mm wheels or sell and rebuy my selection?

I have the JC adapters and JC rulux 12mm wheels in the rear. I had no choice because the outdoor track I went to didn't have the SC10 wheels in stock on a race day for a set of goosebumps. At my other track (indoor clay) I use the SC10 wheels / barcodes.
Swapping out the adapter with the factory spacer is very easy and the adapter set is under 10 bucks. You'll still be able to use your factory wheels until you're done w/ the tires and eventually go full hex if you wanted to.

Tekin redline 8.5 paired with a MMP for racing mod sct on a big 1/8 scale outdoor dirt track and a smaller tighter outdoor dirt track be ok? Don't know if I should get a lower turn motor or higher or if 8.5 is good enough to be competitive.

I have the Proline kit and am very disappointed with it. There is play between the axle and the bearings. There is also play between the pin and steering knuckle. That makes the front end very sloppy and is almost pointless to try to set camber properly. I called Proline about this. They told me to reuse the stock bearings and if it still has issues to take photos and email it to them. Changing the bearings did nothing so I took a small video showing all the slop and emailed it with a description to support. I then tried to call back and an automated message said they were closed, even though it was during their support hours. I tried calling back throughout the day to no avail. Now it's been a week with no reply to my message. I've switched back to the stock setup and will wait on Associated to release the hexes.

I appreciate everyone's responses about the 12mm wheel adapters. I think I will stick with my setup. I have several tire choices and am using GT front axles with rear axle spacers.
This allows me to run a wider stance without needing sway bars.

sorry bout that
