You can also use DE racing wheels for the Losi 4w too.

Considering I own 6 7955's yeah, I'd say I've heard of em. Along with 4 7954's, 4 7945's, 4 7940's and 1 5645MG(For my kid's basher) as well in my stable. Thats all I will buy and run are Hitec servos.

I have the Pro Line protrac wheels and they have the same offset as the stock wheels

I picked my SC10 4x4 up yesterday afternoon, pulled an all nighter building it, sprayed the body this morning and just spent a few hours at the track. This truck is amazing. I've been away from a track for 20 years and my touch isn't there yet, but I can tell that this thing has serious potential, far beyond my current skills (need more track time). I opted for a Tekin RX8, LRP 5.5 550 motor and Savox 1258 servo, they all performed flawlessly. The steering geometry/sensitivity is outstanding. I've never built a kit that had a steering assembly this smooth and free. I've got a few adjustments to make, mostly to the ESC (punch), but all in all I couldn't be happier. Oh and this thing can take a serious beating. One of the guys commented "well I know one thing, that thing is tough".. Mainly because this truck was so good, it surprised me on more then one occasion, which lead to many an encounter with the walls, pipes, etc..

Oh and thanks to all who contributed to this thread with tips. The build was as smooth and fun as any I've ever done.

ps. My diffs were both just wet.. I cleaned them out and replaced with 5k.

I have a mmp and lrp x12 5.5 540. Motor and have more then enogh speed and low temps. I was 120 degrees after a 10mon race with a 18 tooth pinion and stock 48 pitch spur

Tried to do the belt tension test the manual said and have it all at the stock settings but just running slow sitting on my stand it seems like there is alot of drag. Gear mesh is perfect i guess i could loosen the belt up some more. Just so hard to get it right when i have never even seen anything like this before

Well just got my kit today and all I can say is very impressive. Cant wait to run it next week. It went together really smooth only issue I had was the rear shocks had to be bled,because they had too much oil in them. Also one of the metal threaded camber inserts in the shock tower wasn't threaded great on one hole so I will likely need a replacement from Associated. ---

A little bit of slop on the belt is fine... better even. The heli guys would always say that you should be able to pinch the belt and it should come together (at about several inches from the pulley).

ok cool ill just run it and see. It much be my motor that seems to have alot of drag when i roll it and run the throttle at low speeds. Worries me about temps but untill i get a chance to run it on a track idk.

Yeah but the serov model # kinda stumped me. Im waiting for those new BL servos to be released from Hitec y'know.

first off, sorry if this has been posted already..secondly.the losi scte sway bar's will fit...with some slight but easy modification's

the screws in the chassis hold in the sway bars just fine....and all of the hardware is from the losi scte sway bar kit....only thing i had to do was drill out the ball joint that goes into the a-arm in order to fit a 2.5mm button head through it...

Very innovative, but I don't thing that's going to function correctly, the washers are making it impossible for the proper bar movement. IMO.

So I cruised mine around the dw tonight, all in all it's pretty smooth, the steering only took 2clicks of trim. Clicker will take some getting used to.

I'm not thrilled that you can't get a straight shot at the lower motor screw...

All in all it's a good kit, I'm sure it will have a ton of potential too.

I'm just waiting on some goosebumps as I didn't want to waist the stock wheels by glueing the Junkers on them.

I went with a mamba monster max, with the 1410 motor. A CC 10a external bec. And I went with a 7965 for the servo. I started the gearing at 17 and 62 and it feels slow will probably end up at around 20-62 depending on temps..


Anyone else feel it sits too tal with the stock springs backed all the way off?
