Just reading through this thread and looking at the vids posted, I'm stunned that AE didn't include sway bars with this thing. It looks like it should be standard, not an option.
Anyway, looking at the pic posted a few pages back, they don't look too different from the Losi sway bars. I bet you could make the Losi's work.
Just a suggestion. I'm sure this truck will be great but it looks like it is having some early teething problems just like I expected. All new vehicles do.

Ya, it seems to be going through some quality issues. That's what you get when you outsource to the lowest bidder.
Hopefully it will be worked out for the next batch. Maybe AE will start including the swaybars. I can't see them adding very much to the cost of producing the kit. Maybe a few cents per box?

finally got mine built. had enuf time to make a couple trips down my street. I din't want to abuse my good tires so the track will come today.
already tell the differance between the sc10 and the slash I ran last year. just the few turns I made in my yard was awesome for a 4x4. can't wait
anybody get any spare parts? I have both front and read pully''s and a few screws left over. I went thru the manuel again and know I din't miss any screws.

I had to readjust my servo horn as it was not straight, was 20-30 mins work, basicly removed belt off just the front, unscrewed and removed the whole front half of the chassis, then went from there.

What pinion are you running? Any sensorless motor timing added? Thanks

I got to race mine for the first time tonight. After an 8 min main the motor temped at 120 and esc at 130. I ran 7k oil in the front diff and 3k in the rear.
Track: High bite, blue groove, indoor track outbackraceway.com
Motor/esc: Castle 3800kv/MMP
Servo: XP ds1015
Tires: Green JC Subcultures

I have the exact same electronics.
Im thinking of a 32 pitch 13T pinion for a medium sized track

I just installed the belt (pg. 27) and went to check for free rotation. The belt when held and pulled towards the front clicker is just locked tight. If the belt is pulled towards the rear of the truck I get the clicker sound. I don't feel this is correct.
Could someone let me know if this is correct and if not, what I might have done incorrectly. I didn't over tighten the diff cases, made sure they weren't binding.
I went back over then manual and only thing that I can think of to cause this might be I installed the diffs with the screws facing inwards. I worked on this late into the morning when I wasn't the most awake and aware (not a good idea).
Thanks in advance.

If anyone has a Blitz body, you can use it on your SC104x4, just have to turn the rear body mounts around so they are pointing towards the front of the truck, and you have to move the body mount holes in the front about 1 inch or so towards the back of the truck. The cut out for the rear bumper even fits the same. I did this with my son's old blitz body till I get mine painted.
