got mine! I'm 32 years old with 2 kids. I got the call from the lhs and when I walked in I became a 5yr old at x-mas morning.

didn't get very far yet building. stearing and tranny's are all I had time for. off to work now. thought of calling in sick to finish the truck

I walked into the Hobby People in Murrieta today and there were 3 kits sitting there. the guy said 4 kits were delivered just 2 hours earlier, 1 sold 30 minutes before i got there. While I was there another guy came in and picked one up.
Cant wait to start building tomorrow.
Thanks to all the posters with all of the helpful info

but I think it is best to use the 32 pitch. maybe around 12T or 13T pinion for a small track and 14T/15T for larger tracks

Started my build last night. Diffs had "differing"
amounts of fluid but neither correct. One had minimal amount.
Servo install not hard just different.
Rear tranny case binds. It looks distorted like it cooled improperly coming out of mold. I will try a new case from my LHS. May shim in meantime if that will work.
Interesting way to hold pin in rear cvd. I kept looking for retainer like for the front. Finally looked ahead in manual and low and behold bearing retains pin! Clever idea but will have to pick up spare bearings as those are not normal size.
So far everything appears well thought out and well made.
Will finish tonight (hopefully)

Has anyone made a new mounting plate for the ESC, RX, and Transponder and not use the stock RX box?
I plan on doing one out of some CF plate I have so I can get the ESC back further and the RX forward more to help with not having to use a servo extension.

This way you just unplug the steering servo and unsolder or remove the motor and ALL the electronics can be removed for cleaning.
You can make flexable cover for the RX out of scrap Lexan from the bodies if you want to protect the RX, but it has not been an issue in the other 4 trucks/buggies so far.

Got my truck last night and the build went pretty well. Just curious about the belt tension? I started with the recommended belt tensioner settings and it seems ok.. Just not sure of how tight it should really be.
