I run on a fairly high traction surface. I'm going to start with 5k up front and stay with the 3k in the rear.

Just some food for thought...
Tearing all assembled parts down is my plan.... but does the kit include extra 3000wt diff oil? or should I just go buy 5000?

2 of the 3 sc10 2wds RTRs I've torn down had assembly problems, so I would not trust the quality control on these diffs either.

BTW, jesse and all you posting "Nice thread without the spam, bla bla bla" without any tech info are actually spamming the thread.

Default Keep this thread on topic!

I see you all decided to create a new thread for the SC10 4x4...

Thats fine... However I have closed the other thread now. It will remain as a reference though.

http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...10-4x4-29.html

Same rules apply to this new thread as the old one. KEEP IT ON TOPIC! I don't want to see any bashing or bickering like was in the other thread.

I've given 2 very polite warnings thus far... There will not be any more.

gunna try to fit my spare jammin ones on if nessesary. but I run a pretty loamy track, so may not net them right away

I have some swaybars left over from my Slash 4x4, when I get my kit (hopefully) later this week I'll have a look to see if they may fit. I run on a tight indoor carpet track, so I'm sure I would greatly benefit by adding these.

Default Slash parts usable?

I also have a set of Slash sway bars. Am very anxious to hear if they work. Mine is due tomorrow, so I will post pics and let you guys know what's shakin w them.

Also noticed a couple of guys saying the slash wheels would not work? How far off are they? Will it make a huge difference til I replace them all? I have so many sets I was really hoping they would fit!

Great thread so far...now if we can keep it that way?!?

Anyone with the kit yet run the castle sct 3800kv esc/motor combo? If so are you having any overheating issues?

The team at Track Star R/C are working on some.

I drove one a few weeks back on an indoor clay track. Though the truck was good it was not great. I felt that it needed sway bars and maybe even a more progressive weight front spring.

Once we get things tested I will post.

Does anyone know if this motor will work for my sc10 4x4. Team Orion Vortex Pro Race 4.5 Brushless Motor (7980kV) I've read that not all motors will fit the sc10 4x4. If not I need to send it back. Thanks

You probably wont be able to gear it low enough to work effectively.

As with the Jammin trucks we campaigned last year we will be starting with Fantom 7.5-8.5 540's. If we feel we need more torque we will run Fantom 5.5-6.5 550's.

Do they fit properly (the correct offset)? Do you have first-hand experience with this, or is it just based on theory?
