would you happen to know if there is a part # for a replacement set?

also is there any other way to use a lipo battery other than the conversion kit? i thought i seen where you can just change one piece to allow the battery to fit.

Hi there, just wondering how a TRF415 MSXX Chassis would compare to say a New TA05-Ver II R Chassis?

Cheers Clint...

TRF415 MSXX is not in the same class as TA05 ver.2-R. The former has carbon fiber double decks while the latter has carbon-reinforced platic tub. TRF415 MSXX already has all the optional parts while the TA05 ver.2-R only comes about 60% upgrades, you need to shell out at least another $200 (e.g. motor mount, and bulkheads, etc.) to make the car with full options.

If you want to race, get TRF415MSXX, if just for fun, TA05 ver.2-R will do. But don't expect them to have the same level of performance and driving precision.

Hy!

Sorry for the late reply:

Here are the sleeves. Those match with the "original" white 415 delrin cups

http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/rc-trf...th=595_744_711

This ones match with the black 3racing or also the original tamiya black 416 spool cups. But you can them use on the 415 as well. But only cup and the sleeve have to be from the same set.

Default center one way

I recently was given some center one way pulleys from a 415 but I've never used one before. So my question is why use them? When to use them? How to use them ( with a spool, standard diff, front one way). Thanks in advance.

You can use many things form the 416/416.

The whole suspension, rear balldiffs, specR Gear diff, The only thing you have to mention if the costs for the "upgrades" are it worth for you.

Hi All

I have recently acquired a TRF415msx

Its in great shape and has the Lipo mod already done to it.

I want to update the pulleys though, so am after the MRE direct centre pulley assembly.. anyone know anywhere in the uk that might sell it?

Thanks

Dug out my 415 that I used to run competitively for a few years last week, to have a run at the local club. Other than the low punch lipo pack I have, it still handled very nicely. The chassis has had a fair amount of upgrades done to it over the years.

Original purchased as a 415MSX in 2006 I have since upgraded to MSX MRE setup with the better steering setup, RC Square aluminium front uprights, Evo V short arms front and rear (so much stronger than the long light arms that the MSX came with), and a lipo battery tray.

I have ordered the RC Square TB03/TRF 416 front and rear aluminium uprights for it, move to the 1050 bearings instead of the crappy small 950s that the 415 used. Hopefully get the uprights and bearings in by the end of the week and give the old thing a full strip down and rebuild.
