Go-Tech Engines Thread
Hey guys, I just wanted to introduce you to our new clutch shoes:

I've been testing these out myself, and was pleasantly surprised. Initially I thought they were just a soft carbon shoe, but it's a new composite that is proprietary to Go. Texture is similar to the Dynamite long life shoes, but it's a little more coarse. They are also extremely lightweight. The main thing that surprised me is that they have lasted over 2 gallons. I've been through 2 clutchbells, clutchbell bearings, etc, and these are the same shoes. I've been using them with the standard spring that we sell as well. I'll try and get a thickness for you guys.
We should have the new billet shoes in a few weeks as well:

As you can see, they're crossdrilled on the back side, for lighter weight. Additionally, they are machined so that you dont need shims underneath them.

The lightened billet ones look very nice too. I am hoping they will take a normal clutch spring, as I would like to run them on my MG66 motor with X-Ray extra hard springs - mucho bottom launcho
That's good news about the carbon shoes Trey. I have some sets coming in my current order for the guys to try. I, like you, just assumed they were your typical soft carbon shoe.

Possably rite Kev, the Jury is still out on that one tho as it's only my club truck and possably a fatigue issue, I'll give it another try after I give the Club truck some long overdue TLC
then if it fails I'll know if it's too much for racing............. but man it was FUN driving outside my comfort zone.
