i;ve currently got a brand new Go GX5R. how do these go in buggy. i've read they have to much bottom end and are best suited to truggy.

for those who run them in buggy are they o.k with that extra bottom end?

i ran one in a buggy for a while, thee are a few thing you can do to calm it down a tad, black/green clutch springs, thicker diff oil, 14t or 15t clutchbell.....just to name a few, or you just just give that new GX5R to me

They are very suited to truggy, but nothing to stop you running the 5R in the buggy. The 5R has tremendous bottom end, which can be a little daunting in the buggy if you don't get the gearing and clutch right .
With a softer clutch set up, and maybe going up 1 tooth on the bell you will love it. Power to burn, and for a motor with so much bottom end you will be surprised how much top end it has as well.
Having been involved with the GO range of motors for several years now (GX and the earlier Pro Series), my personel recommendation for buggy in the GX Series would be the 7R, but the 5R will be killer too

you forgot the mg-66!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course you may need to gear that up to, depending on pipe/grip/clutch.

a lot of fellers at the 2 clubs i go to run the 5 port in buggies with softer clutch springs & dynamite 086 pipe, u just have to learn throttle control in dusty conditions

If you get over ruled there are actually two tracks in Wyoming. One is in Rock Springs and another is in Cheyenne. If you move to Cheyenne there is a track in Longmont Colorado that is only an hour drive. There is also a track in Burlington Colo but that would be more like 4 hours and the track in Colo Springs that hosted Nats this year is about 3.5 hours from Cheyenne.
