Hey guys, I just bought a new B44 and built it 100% accurate to the manual. I took it to the track and popped the rear drive shafts out 2 times in 5 minutes of driving. I double checked the shims the on the hub, and pulled the shocks apart to check if I forgot the limiter. everything checks out. What else can I do?

More than one limiter would do the trick. I've used two on my B44 this winter. (Rear shocks only. One at the front.) No popping shafts for me.

Do you guys think 23/81 is going to be too much gear for a fantom 13.5 on a tight indoor track? It's the smallest pinion I had!

should be okay... hotter motors need lower gearing and an 8.5 will run a 22/81 pretty easy. 23/81 is 8.83:1 final drive ratio, this should be reasonable for a short track. Be sure to monitor ESC and motor Temp during practice.

Check out the homepage of http://rcinsider.com/ and you can see a nice shot of Ryan Maifield's B44.1 steering linkage.

Anyone have a good picture of Ryan's car without the body on? or Cavaleri's? I want to see if they have weights anywhere somethingn special the factory team kit doesn't have.

The spacers look like FT blue aluminum shock bushings.

I just ordered a kit and expect it later this week. I have yet to pick out a brushless system for it. I'm 100% new to 10th scale 4wd, but have ran a little of everything in the past. I'm gonna be racing this on an outdoor track thats a little tight. I was thinking on a 7.5 or 8.5, but unsure on brand. I didnt want to get the ultilmate-best, but something descent and mainly dependable. I'm also un sure on a steering servo, and dont want to spend a lot on one. Maybe a trusty hitec 625?

So if you were in my shoes, what would you power this thing with?

Anyone notice that their motor runs hotter with the same gearing bc of the chassis and no cut out for the motor?

Honestly if it's tight you won't need a ton of motor. With a mod motor of that size you can go just about anything, it wont matter what the esc can do. The motor will give you all you can handle at that speed.

Am I not getting something or is Maifield using Pro-Line tires and not Jconcepts?? Those rear tires look like Suburbs to me...

I am pretty sure I see a part of "JConcepts" text on those tires.
