How often do you guys clean your buggy? I spray it really good with the air compressor every time and wipe it down with a hard brush to get all the caked up dirt. Then spray a few more times. Pretty much I try to make it as clean as possible after every run. So far I have abOut 5 batter packs through her. What kind of stuff should I start doing soon? Also how do you get her shiny? Can't get it wet so yeah.... I would Post some pix up but I don't know how with iPhone 4 anyone elsE know how?

agreed on the topic of bearings.
I was referring more to the rest of the car being washed. I have never washed my bearings in water but pretty much everything else gets hot soapy water.
I use a tupperware bowl with a lid on and rigorously shake it (not bearings). but of course I use an air compressor to remove all water then 99.9% alcohol to make sure no water is present. Good topic

Any one know if this is good enough to blow out your car? I want something small and light weight.

I spray mine lightly with Maxima SC-1 spray shine. It's made for motorcycles/ATV's, but works great on RC's too. I wipe off any excess, and after running it, you just blow out really good with air and lightly spray again. Makes my buggy look BRAND NEW! If you don't spray too much, it will actually dry. It also leaves a protective film on everything that repels water.

Check Harbor Freight. When I was there the other day. They had just air compressors pretty cheap.
Gregg. Great place. Cheap tools

I'm going to search for taht cheap air compressor your speak of as well.

try not to. I'd rather clean than buy new parts or wear out stuff racing
how exciting! welcome
this confirms my suspicions.

Sold my rc8 w/ Tekno v3 and bought this. it seems like there are more options with the stock chassis etc. (for one, I can run a pinion over 18t)
I'm thinking I want a GRID mount simply because I've been hearing a lot of good things on here about them; beside that it looks well upgraded.

Welcome to the club Ross. I'm sure you'll be busy today messing with it
Thanks for this tip. Where would I get Maxima SC-1 spray? I'll take a look at pep boys today when I'm out.

Check your local motorcycle shop. You may have to order it online. It is cheaper if you buy it by the case. Try www.rockymountainatv.com

I bought a 4gallon compressor from Harbor Frieght a while back for 30-40 bucks. I went ahead and upgraded the hose to one that coils. Came with a bunch of attachments too. Runs like a champ.
