Is your Grid mount the one with the "Inner Pinion Support"? I couldn't tell from the pics.

Inner pinion. Outer only supports up to like 15 or 17 tooth. And the outer has an arm that comes around to support the motor shaft.

Default Some advice for my 1st season

Hey guys, I am getting ready to run my first electric outdoor season with my rc8be. The mains are 20 minutes, so lasting the duration is top priority.

So I am looking for some experienced racers to compare and contrast the following setups:

2650kv on 4S 5000 mah, 14T pinion
1900kv on 4S 5000 mah, 19T pinion
1700kv on 5S 4000 mah, 17T pinion
1350kv on 6S 3000 mah, 19T pinion

Thanks for any information/advice.

You must be running in the Nitro Mains.

2650kv on 4S 5000 mah, 14T pinion
1900kv on 4S 5000 mah, 19T pinion
1700kv on 5S 4000 mah, 17T pinion
1350kv on 6S 3000 mah, 19T pinion

You might also look at a 5500 pack. That would get you there with a little to spare.

you shouldnt have any problems with that setup at all, in fact he MMP is even a sensored setup! The SC8e RTR even comes with a MMP stock so someone at Team Associated must think it works well enough for 1/8 scale use.

Yes, you can, but you will most likely not be able to run 6S. I tried an MMP with a Neu motor in my RC8Be, and it worked fine on 5S, but for some reason, it would not work on 6S. So I'd say, if you're going to stick with 4S or 5S, then you should be ok.

Yes a ride height guage is necessary as is a camber guage. For large outdoor offroad tracks I ran the following setup with great success:

5/5/5 diffs
10 hole GHEA pistons
Stock front springs/OFNA yellow rear springs
25/25 shock oil
28/30 ride height front to back

Great car and this setup gives it a very neutral setting!
