Just about everyone in a boosted class is running the tekin. In non boosted seems to be a larger variety however that is also dominated by tekin. So my question is how did the motor speed control combo fair in on road.
We still have work to be done on the boost function for the Vtrax series, but it is getting very strong. At the Hungarian Nationals last weekend factory Viper driver Laszlo Kiss-Orban finished 9th in the A-main of their mod equivalent class - 10.5t motor limit boosted tc, running a VST 10.5 and Vtrax10R boosted esc. Laszlo also finished 3rd in their stock equivalent class - 17.5t controlled LRP speedo running a VST 17.5.

We are doing extensive development this week and just completed the onroad testing in California. I haven't heard a report yet but Viper driver Eric Kim had this to say after the weekend test session:

The esc's have been absolutely amazing in all non-boosted conditions and this brief feedback of the boosted testing sounds great

Tomorrow we transition to the offroad testing. Wiring up electronics now...

my set up for offroad will be a 13.5 buggy
and when i start to run mod i will go to the 8.5 viper motor.

I will aslo be running mod tc this year with a 5.5

So once i get my Esc's in i will post my setups!

2 vtrax10r's
and
1 vtrax10

i will be using one of the 10r esc's in a 1\8th buggy sc conversion on 2s with a 550 can! we will push this esc to its lemits and will find out just what the breaking lemit is!

I would also like to note that these solder posts are amazing and easy to solder. The wire practically falls into place
Hope this helps

Weylin is an Awesome Team Manager as Well.

Cant beat there warranty terms, and customer support is top notch!

there has to be at least 15-20 active team members in this thread as well as the one in onroad forum.

any more teaser info on the 1/8 speedo?

Right now, its something I am definitely looking at especially with the warranty.

As a side question for the speedo 1/8 version, are you guys going to be using a fan on the ESC? if so, could do some fan options for those who want to use a larger more durable fan? There are these fans I used back in the day with the Mamba Max when that was what was the esc for the money that would work when modified that were highly durable, but larger. I never had one fail, and they ran direct off of the 4S battery. If they could be plug and play on the ESC, that would be cool.

Cain - the 1/10 stuff has been the early priority to get everything right from hardware to software.

I agree with the reports post earlier, everything has been very smooth and great on temp on the 1/10 side. I even tried to purposely raise the temp - working with setting, I probably should not have - and it barely got to 100*. So if the 1/8 can be that efficent = watch out!!
