Living in Canada - Grid mount is next day delivery. Everything else takes longer. Its all about balance. Gens ace will probably arrive in another week.

Ah well, better get posting then!! Finished my shell and thought i'd post a few pics. Pretty happy with my 1st attempt although getting lines sharp with masking fluid ain't no easy task. I ended up pin striping edges on top of the mask but still not perfect. Think i might try pin striping the masking to the tape next time round!!

Just waiting for the Boca bearings to arrive now. Not much i can do till they show up. Think i'll sort out the shocks and strip the diffs down tomorrow. Got some 400 grit on the way and the clear bushes are sitting waiting to be fitted so all sorted with that.

Think it's worth going for the Reedy 626 over the 720? Not sure if the extra juice will be a good thing or not but ROAR approved doesn't bother me.

I see it says Racing Approved, but are they ROAR approved? Not that I race Roar, but I was wondering.

Default An upgrade that should be in the kit.

While doing a few cart wheels the other day with my car I broke both wing mount standoffs (Part 89259). So i was looking on amain and stormer and tower for the part and all of them had the whole wing mount (Part 89021). The whole mount pack included a blue aluminum standoff instead of the plastic ones. Why wouldn't this be in the kit from the begining. Also I have not been able to find the aluminum standoffs by themselves without the rest of wing mount parts. Does anyone know the part number for just the aluminum standoff? i would like to get one for my other RC8.

You can get mine brand new and already built.

Default Wing Mounts

I agree the the wing mount with the aluminum standoffs is a must have.

The Factory Team kits have the alumimun standoffs but the RTRs and the original $300 RC8E did not.

The FT RC8 wing mount (with aluminum) includes the plastic pieces because they cost practically nothing.

For comparison, the RC8 wing mount is $1 cheaper than the Jammin wing standoffs which doesnt include the plastic peices.

Looks like they only come in the kit. Not that expensive as it is. I dont think you are going to break those.

And my Factory Team didnt come with a whole bunch of FT stuff. I dont have the alum standoffs, I dont have the alum chassis braces. All i have is the A,B,C,D plates steering plate and the shock towers, rest of RTR crap.

Go back 30-40 pages. Just scroll through looking for pics. I posted pics measuring the battery box. 149 is way too long. I wanna say 143 was the tray size.

Right. i have the RC8B and R8Be both FT and both kits came with the plastic ones. I just think that the cost couldn't be that large to add in the kit. When they sell it less than 10$ outside the kit. i think its and after thought.
