Nice paint jobs, especially the blue one. Did you do the paint job yourself?

If your running the Tekin system with a 2050 on 4s you need a 20 tooth for outdoors,Now this assuming your running the new software v.208 and running profile TP1 which adds 10 degrees of timing. If you run TP2 you need to drop 1 tooth as it adds 27 degrees of timing.

(I really like these wheels but they are a 18mm hex and the RC8Be is a 17mm hex, is there a way to make these work?)

or

with these.

I have the 5 star ones and they get a lot of comments at the track, people love them. I will post some pictures soon. they have held up well during some crazy crashes as well.

Nice paint job! Is that the Punisher body? How is that fitting when you put the batteries in?

Its the Proline Bulldog. For clearance, you need a lipo with a minimum height of 39mm or less. The packs I ordered are 143x49x39mm. I should have atleast 5mm of clearance inside so the lipo wouldnt rub the paint off. I also shimmed the front body mount post for additional clearance.

Default Almost finished

TC3MIKE, that is a sweet paint job,
Almost finished.
I have to say this is one of the best kits I have ever built.
All the upgrades FT stuff is awesome. Big upgrade from the SC8e build.
Starting my paint, of course I am going for a Dallas Stars theme.

Setup:
Shocks;
10 hole tapered pistons, accordion boots, 45AE oil #3 hole and O/B in front, 40AE oil, #6 hole and O/B in rear,

Battery:
Cut the battery tray to accept Nano-tech 6000mah 3s packs. will post picture tomorrow.

Motor/ ESC:
Tekin Rx8 with 208 update and timing advance 10 with 2010k final rpm 5445 start rpm, Tekin T8 2650kv motor with 15t (stock) Still testing!
The motor fits funny with the stock mount, really tight against the chassis.
New mount on the way
Big track with big jumps.

Additional:
Put drive boots on the front and rear drive knuckles at the diffs.
Vp pro k wing
Elite RC motor mount on the way thanks B.W.
Attention
Big thing to remember is the steering bushings in the front knuckles use red loctite.
Put the loctite in the hole carefully (little bit will do) then put the knuckle in the C' hub with the bushing and screw.
They will fall out keep an eye on them

This thing was fun to build and it was hard as hell to go to work tonight LOL
Pics tomorrow!!!

I'm curious about what you motor will temp with that 2650 on 3s with the new 2.08 software. I went with the castle system, 2000kv truggy on 5s for my RC8BE. I have 2 Rx8 that need to go back to Tekin. I was getting great temps on my carbonfiber 8ight 2.0 running a 2000kv on 4s temping at 160-165 in a 10 min run. Curious if the new software would drop it even more.

I don't think you're supposed to use oil heavier than 30wt with the 10 hole tapered pistons.
