Thats what most guys run at our local parking lot tracks too.Awsome tire for a controlled tire.I have a good setup if you want it for the BMI.Matter of fact it would work with the stock chassis as well.Only thing, are you guys spraying soda, sugar water,or vht for traction or nothing at all.?

You mean the side walls that go along the whole chassis? I dont think thats what associated designed the car for.I will pose a question. Why does a car like a Losi{stiff as heck}work so well on asphalt?Because they have the suspension settings figured out.
What sands says is true.getting the chassis to flex like that will only make the car easier to drive, not faster. You can be very consistant with a stiff car if your capable of tuning the suspension. This is not a dig on you or the guys you race with, but the fact is what they are doing to achieve traction is backwards.there is a reason why touring cars have independant suspension.

Good meeting you too! I had a good time down there and my car was working good for me! Your car looked very good and smooth.

Kevin

Will Do. Until then I will just stay with my stock chassis that I have the batteries milled out for. I really want a BMI chassis definitely for indoors but this is why I brought this question out in the first place. Will it work as well in the low traction parking lots. If so I'm in! Thanks for all of your help and thoughts. I will get the pic of that chassis up later.

beanster..
as far as low tracksion parking lots .. YES it will work great I run at diffrent parking lots here in So. Cali, and I really dont see any tremendous problems.. the chassis always seems to be consistant and is very easy to set-up for track conditions .. most of the time i just have to change tires...I got to say this .. Im very pleased with this upgrade for the tc3 i has made a positive diffrence in the cars performance...

That would be interesting to see beanster.Mike can hold his own I am sure on asphalt but he did tell me on his forum to run Bakers setup which seeing his car enough times I know its not cut down on the sides at all.Baker is the Tc3 asphalt king for sure while Mike reigns supreme on Carpet.

beanster, the BMI chassis was designed to have adjustable flex settings.being that everyone likes adjustability,i made sure i offered it.a 2mm chassis plate would have a little too much flex for any driving conditions.i offer a 2mm upper brace which comes standard with the kit that was designed for asphalt racing.there is a center support that is removable if more flex is wanted.for ultimate rigidity and tunabitlity, you have the optional 3mm upper brace.i tried to keep all driving styles and skill levels in mind while designing this chassis.thanks for your interest.

Hey-I am home from track earyly tonight and thought I would tell you that my BMI eTC3 is flat out handling awesome. I caught or pulled away from people who are much better drivers than myself every run.
Understand-tomorrow is another day and as they figure out set-ups-I am sure I will be put in my place!! but it feels good to know I have one of the realy dialed cars so early on first practice day.
