Wow my car just gets faster every time I drop it on the track. It took a few weeks to adjust to a car that turned in the center of the corner but I got a handle on it now. The car really reacts well to changes its making it hard to make setup mistakes when no matter what I do it goes faster. I qualified second tonight and finished second in the A-main. Lap times were all within a second accept for the three mistakes I made.

The future is looking fast.

Man Jason I think I might have to come down and work for you so I can get all the trick stuff that is coming out. It is the only way I could afford to have every car chassis setup you make. The TC3 is dialed still and a buddy of mine Tim Getchell just ordered a blue one like mine last week. He liked mine so much he bought one. I told him it will be dialed and also look great. Killing two birds with one stone.

Was it the question on if you can use it for low-medium grip parkinglot conditins?Since thats basically all we have here in norhtern California besides speedworld raceway,I can answer that for you.
Thats what I run on regularly,and it works awsome.Very easily one of the smoothest TC3's with this chassis conversion.I compare it the Pro4 or Losi .Very smooth and predictable. My buddy george lin can attest to that.His car is planted but still has the Tc3's agressive responce.

I was thinking that on controlled rubber tires that the 2mm bottom plate might be better. What is your thoughts on that?

What brought me to this is that most Factory guys run composite not graphite outdoors and they also mill the chassis down and take out quite a bit of the webbing in the stock TC3. If that's the case why would stiffer for outdoors be better?

Thats the case with some factory drivers.They are more then likely milling out the chassis to move the battery inward resulting in having to remove some of the webbing.This is not the way to gain grip in the right way.That should be left to suspension tuning.Here most Factory guys run the graphite chassis and tune suspension accordingly.We have some fast guys here with tc3's on asphalt.The bmi chassis has been an awsome chassis for low grip situations along with High bite carpet.We run on a track at night in which we dont spray nor sweep off very well. Thats truely low bite.The car works fine in this situation.Plenty of traction if you tune the car correct.

Stiffer is always better, period.

The only exception to this is a track that has a very inconsistent grip from one section to the next. A softer chassis makes the suspension setup more forgiving, but slower over all. If you have the skills, knowledge and patience to get a good suspension setup with a stiff chassis, you will always be faster.

Provided you don't hit anything!

The only other reason to not run a graphite chassis outside is so you don't scrape it up. But that is what teflon tape is for!
