Yes it does help, thanx

re:stand-offs...the factory cyclone doesn't appear to have standoffs. any ideas what BMI does-away with from the factory car?

dennis is correct. i didnt lose anything from the stock cyclone when i did this kit.i had to be pretty creative to do the wide bracing and make it look good.looks like the whole hot bodies team may run the chassis at the IIC race.andy moore just got his yesterday.

which tubes and what thread size studs are you using? i have a load of crc stuff and the holes in the cf are too large to thread directly into with crc 2-56 ball studs. is there a longer stud out there? is it 3-56, 3-48 instead?

i used the crc short tube and the crc hardware. i did ream the hole a little to make them fit. i was using the inside mounts. if you use the outside mounts you may be able to use the long tubes

hardware 1384 - 2-56 Steel Ballstud for tubes
tubes 1369 - Short Alum Damper Tube

i believe i have those same parts. i'll triple check when i get home. on all 3 of mid decks and the 1 top plate i have, the ball studs slide in and out like its at a nevada brothel and they are too short to nut on the bottom side.

i have not had a problem with those part. but i am just now putting the db12 together. I beleive that the tbrace is the same as the original bmi12 so they should work. I did have to counter siink the ball stud on the top deck for the pod. crc use to have the same hardware kit and included the long studs. but I have not been able to find those anymore.

Jason,

Would you happen to have any of those T2 chassis around today? Mainly looking for the complete conversion. Looking for one in either satin black or gunmetal. Thanks!

hey guys,

i got a call last night and was told that andy moore and a few of the HB team were changing over to the new BMI Cyclone carpet kits!!! best of luck to them.

Jason Schreffler is on fire right now with his BMI Cyclone.i have a real good feeling about the results.
