8T 2.0

So do people think that the new rebate on the 8ight-T really means a 3.0 is going to be released soon? Some folks were speculating that.
If that is the case, that means the are updating every one of there race rollers, since even their rock crawling race roller has a rebate.
I was planning on buying an 8ight-T using this program, but if people think a replacement is coming out soon I might re-think that.
I really don't think there is any connection, but what do you guys think?

I'm running Life packs in both my 8T 2.0 and 8B 1.0.
My truggy is running an Ace 1015 on the throttle and a savox 20kg on the steering both of these use a fair bit of power. I ran my truggy for about 50mins at the last club day and only had to put 550mAh back into the 1300mAh pack!!!
Because they are nominally only 6 volts you don't require a regulator.
The are light to I think I saved about 20 to 30grams over my NiMH hump packs.
The weight difference was really noticeable in my buggy as it used to roll in the air to the RX side with the LiFe pack it flies level
