on the 3 grps i ran through the past year alls i used was odo plugs. coming from you il take the word as the gospel. i never had a leak and everything i ran, of which were rebuilds that had good lifespan. but i also have to say that i was told not to run os plugs in jammin jpx engines and have been doing so with great success. in my area everybody has ran the same odo plugs as i have...exept for 1 out of a good dozen that i know that ran an os p3(only 1 grp ran on os and was fine). im not about to argue with mr. losi...no doubt....considering youv ran grp longer than i have..i am waliking away with your word!...its all just a shame that grp has dwindled into what it has....

the od plug worked one just had to make sure it was properly snugged...

it is a shame that a good motor has been brought down....i have 3 of them along with a spare rod and piston/sleavenot sure how much longer i will keep them, but they are not worth anything so, i will just burn em down, and get something else...

im still using 2 of my grp buttons. and now that you got me wondering they do seem a little over snug with the odo plug. the one last turn is a little over snug, almost squeeks lol..so i have to agree with you.

To add to CasyP's response--Geo, or another user, measured the taper angle of the ODO plugs. The ODO plugs had a slightly different taper. Those guys suggested to keep using the same brand of plug, which ever that may be, that has been used in the engine previously. Switching back and forth from ODO to GRP/O.S. is where the leak-by came from. They mentioned the taper creates the fit and seal. If you use the different taper then it won't seal properly.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here. But that's my recollection of the previous discussion regarding the turbo plugs.

this would be correct, i always use os plugs, and tried a od.....it was as 8 said....it was tight on the last turn, and squeaked.....if you didnt do that it would leak..

i willl put a grp plug in and see how it is...

No; they should not.

It's supposed to be sitting in a certain someone's desk drawer with my name on it since Fri or Mon; don't recall which day I talked to 'em.

Seriously...Not joking at all. Though it's not out of the system, they shouldn't be able to actually find it when they go look for it.

Just bought a used Tuned. Going to run it with my JP-2.

Hopefully get a good 3-4 gallons out of it. (It's got about 10 gallons total on it, and was just pinched. )
