Hi All,
This is my very first post and I'm sure is a pure newb question. Excuse me if this has been addressed in another post(s).
I haven't ran my revo 3.3 for a while(about 6 months). When trying to start the motor it doesn't 'turn' that much. I was wondering what I can do to 'loosen' up the engine. Or if I need to buy a whole new one. The truck is completely stock also.

we have a screw driver but when my dad had me look at it the engine been out. i felt the pinch b4 and it was nothin like this, i heated it up everytime before tryin to move the piston i have oven gloves i stole from my mom shhhh
probably the same as the engine i just got back from a customer who just tried to runin his toro with two tanks of nitrotane (thats all he got through it until this happened)he got from H.E.S. and the piston/sleeve were so gummed up with a substance that was very hard to remove . i ended up cleaning the engine thoroughly and running the engine in with byrons gen2 , no problem whatsoever .

will it hurt anything if i put it back together and heat it up and try starting it? when i was turnin it over by hand i got it to 225
and btw my names douglas. i drove the losi but a lot of guys did

yea i dont use nitrothane. the top of the piston is sticky is this normal? he had no problems before he could get it to move past the pinch but he said its gained pinch now,

like i said , you probably should clean out the piston/sleeve and start with some other fuel . seems like your sidewinder fuel could be an issue to me .

When i had it apart lookin at it the sleeve and piston looked clean. It was slightly sticky on top of the piston but there Wasnt any gunk on it. Should i still clean it or just seal it? it just seems really tight . Little excessive. Would it hurt it to heat it to 300 with a heat gun? Btw why are my collet just free spinin on the shaft. I have to pinch the collet with a pair of pliers to make it snug on the shaft. thanks for helping me you wouldn who i was if you seen me we met

Houston/Monty,
I am currently running dynamite platinum plugs with my n21bf limited/dynamite 086 pipe . Ive tried cold and now medium but cant really tell any difference. Ive seen on here that odonnel plugs would be better. My problem is which temp plug I should use. I live on the gulf coast (10 miles from beach) with temps around 90 already and humidity from 70-100 % throughout the summer. Is there anyway to recommend a proper plug for me ? Of course its the standard button. Would odonnel #99 cold be right or odonnel #100 medium ? Im wanting to place an order with amain but Im waiting to find out about the plugs. Thanks for answering everyones questions to include mine. My next engine will be one of yours. Probably a plus 4.

you should not have to get a pre heat over 220*
i am pretty sure there is some gobbly gook inside the engine if it is so tight that you cant even come close to turnin it over

and it made more runtime . not so sure about it but i might try it . anyway tom, no shimming necessary . i will be down for the nitro cross race . you just never know , i might pack up and head down one of these weekends in the summer

the odonnell plugs are pretty good imo , i would just get a few of each 2-99, 2-100 , 2-77 . my best guess is the engine will run the best with the 99 plug but will perform better with the 77 but go through plugs a little quicker .
btw what is your engine not doing that you would like it to ?

if it feels like your engine is not performing up to snuff it is more than likely the 20% fuel

well , big block nitro engines do not perform very well with 20% nitro , so i would recommend using gen2 30/11 . you should add one .10mm shim but its not gonna destroy the engine , i can add a shim for ya if ya ship it here .
