If I try to lean out the LSN, I get a machine gunning sound after a 1/2 throttle run. Right now I have the LSN about flush and the HSN at about 1 turn in and it's still fat on top. I'm pretty sure I set the idle at 1mm.
The machine gunning is probably coming from having the top end too lean, which is being masked by the bottom end being too rich.
You will have a Gen 5 long LSN carb.
Re-check the idle gap is .7 - 1mm wide. This is really important, otherwise you will be chasing a tune forever.
Set the HSN at flush, and the LSN at 1 turn in from flush and give it a run.
Depending on what happens go either in or out on the LSN until you have a good idle and take off, then tweak the HSN for a good top end. Half a turn in on the HSN is about max for a long LSN motor (which is what you will have). Any leaner on the top than this and you will start getting lean bog etc.
Let us know how you get on.

Default Losi Engine Mount

Hello guys,
Should be the OS P4 the right choice for the GO 5p Stock?
Thank you

GO 5 port owners:

If you could choose either JP4, JP2 or GRP 053. what pipe would you run?
I you could choose any pipe, what would it be?

Im about to try out the Caster MK2, it's supposed to be based on the GO 5 port.

I think it was somewhere in this thread they talked about the funny squealing sound coming from the engine at break in. I have searched and cannot find. so if any one knows please pass along. go-tec 7-port turbo using sidewinder 30%. my head temp on the first tank was around the 240ish mark no higher. I also preheated to 200 before firing and am using a os p-4 turbo plug. It idled perfect just when I gave it a little tap to clear out it made that sound.

None of the JP pipes work particularly well on the GO engines. They run Ļsort of okĻ, but economy is not good either. The GRP 053 would be cool on the 7 Port, but again not ideally suited to a 5 Port. As to which one of of these would be most suitable, I couldnī't say.

The best pipes for the 5 Port are

GO 0801
GO 2072
Dynamite 086

I agree with Grizz... contact Rex Welch (22racer) for the 3-port sport. Great guy, outstanding customer service and support.
