I have a new bf21 limited and started the brake in useing odonnell 99 and used a heat gun that went fine. My problem is keeping the temps above 200 , don't want to lean it out too much without even 2 tanks through it. Any answers would be great.
thanks

hopefully you got a bf limited ? the bf limited is an awesome engine with all the qualities of the expensive mill without the quality pricing

Hey Monty,
What are the stock settings for the high and low speed needles on a plus 21-5k. I just put a new P/S/R in mine and need the settings for break in. I will be sending you the P/S/R that I PM'd you about in a few days.
Thanks

1.5mm idle gap , 3.5 turns out on lsn, 4.5 turns out on hsn . race tune is close to .75-1mm idle gap , 1.75-2 turns out on lsn and 3-3.75 turns out on hsn '

Ya monty it's a limited but man stock setting is supper rich couldn't hardly get it to run ! I'll try wrapping it up, but it was 84 out side and I heated the block up to 190. I am running 25% with the 99 plug and an ofna 086 pipe just gotta get them temps up.
Thanks man

hi bud...hey man, if you so kindly would........please explain the use of carburetor restrictrors.......when, why and where to use what sizes would be awesome. I am aware of what they are intended to do, Im just not sure on correct applications.

they are basically air/fuel ratio mixers , think of it as running anywhere from lets say a 325cfm carb (6mm) on your 454 big block (power loss for sure) , but it will run efficient with excellent fuel mileage . if you want more power and more fuel consumption use a 1000 cfm carb (9mm). granted there are a few more variables on these big block nitro engines we love so much but that should put it in perspective i hope

What changes were made between the original P5, the P5X, and the P5XS? How did they affect permance and powerband? As usual, I'm interested in truggy power. Don't fret, I'm still saving $$$ for one of your rebuilt/tuned engines...

Monty, I am sooooo glad I got that pipe from you. Gett'n crazy fuel ecconomy on my V-spec, Thanks again.
Got a question about a Picco 26 if you can help. I need a pipe combo that will help me tame that bottom end. runn'n a JP-1 now and the thing has way to much bottom end, and the fuel mileage stinks. Thanks in advance man.
