I'm new to nitro truggy racing and engine tuning, but have been reading and learning a lot. I have a Plus-4 and tuned it just like that post, a little ways back in this form, said. I found and read the same thing about a month ago. My problem is, when I raced it last, it flamed out. Peaple said that it was to lean. Unfortunatly my temp gun broke and I didn't get a reading so I don't know how hot it got. These are the steps I took with this engine. I waited till I had all most a gallon through it then tried to give it a race tune. I left the high and low needles rich (Factory or richer setting), and the idel turned up. I ran it up and down the street, adjusting the high one hour at a time, till I heard the tone change. Then I started on the low end, one hour at a time until the ideal stayed high and did not ideal down. Then I turned down the Ideal. Looking back, after the engine tune changed, I didn't back the needle off a quarter of a turn. Could this have been my problem? I'm I close to doing this right? What should I do different? Do you think there is a problem or if I damaged the engine? Thanks for all your help.

Houston, I just got my new pipe (Dyna 086) and cant wait to run it!
My question, is there a better venture to run with this pipe? I have a plus 21-5k and it currently has a 8mm in it. Man I sure hope to see an improvment over the JP-4 pipe I was running.

no budget - 9853 / 41001 or 41005
budget - ofna 053 out of the box
have a couple available crazy power - 9886 w/41020 or 41021
budget - ofna 086 w/ novarossi 41020 or jammin header
the dynamite pipes are close in performance , what they lack in performance they make up in durability

Houston, glad to see your helping us out. Not to long ago you gave me a tip to check that I don't have some bad RB plugs. I changed and have been happily running since. SOOO much headache relieved. Thanks, and keep up the good tips!
