the low end songs just a tad boggy. i just cant tell if its from tune or clutch but im going to go with clutch... either the shoes or greese from the bearings.
top end does sound like you can give it an hour or so but i would honestly wait until its on the track before i try to fully race tune it.

Yea i agree. The clutch needs replaced and im going to. But the issue with the high end has me confused , i know the top end need leaned out but i cant touch it at all. I leaned it out the very most i can before it cuts out. If i lean it anymore and give it full throttle it cuts out then runs normal then cuts out all of this happens within seconds ill put a video tomorow so it makes more sense

this is a very common thing with the older carbs.. they have such a long low speed needle that the 'tuning' window is quite small. What I did with mine is set the high speed needle flush and then tune with the low end needle....

it definately sounds more like a clutch problem more than a tuning problem. also tuning or testing on ashpalt gives you a false tune due to the excess of grip.
try rebuilding your clutch first then set your LSN at aout 2- 2.5 turns in from flush and you HSN flush and start tuning again, and always tune on the surface you going to run on.
when you rebuilb your clutch make sure you blow the grease out of the bearings.

Hello guys,
need some tip. I have already done with tuning the engine , using GO 0801 pipe, inferno us sport rtr is now very snappy on the trigger with no hesitation. Now, my problem is engine sometimes dies, especially in the 1 hour A-Main? what could be the cause? I was using OS standard plug.... don' t remember if its P3 or A3. I was thinking it was getting hot (i dont have a temp gun) should i richen the LSN or the HSN?
thanks,

Out of all the Go engines, IMO the 7 is the best all round performer.

Hello Grizz,
Can u help me with my earlier post? i have found the sweet spot, but during the 1 hour A main race, the engine just "stop", i have no temp gun so i could not check what's the temp. I was planning to richen the engine, should i richen the LSN or the HSN? I use OS Standard plug A3 or P3 i think.
Thanks,

Hey Guys, I have a brand spanking new GO .21 7 Port with the 2047 Matched Pipe, went to turn her over on my new LRP Starter Box (with car battery attatched so it has plenty of Oomph!) and... the piston get caught at top dead centre
. I put a few drops of afterrun oil in there and turned it over by hand a few times but it still does it the moment I throw it on the starter box.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
At this stage the best method I have heard thanks to the forum is a hair dryer / heat gun on the crank case to warm it up for a few minutes, but I cant exactly take one of them to the track.
I am in Whyalla for the next week or so and if anyone has any suggestions I am all ears! I have just come back from the Race Track where I was trying to start it but I had to resort to getting my Hyper 8 Pro going instead as the motor, just gets stuck
.
OK, suggestions.
THANKS GUYS!
