Got my first Go Tech and I must say I am seriously impressed. I am a RB man through and through picked one up with pipe for $100. All I can say is thats the best $100 I've spent in this hobby yet. Talk about stupid fast

All right guys, I have heard rumors that the GO and Novarossi parts are interchangeable. I want to hear from people who have first hand knowledge if this is true. Have you ever transplated a GO piston, sleeve and conrod into a novarossi? Did it work well? What about durability?
I am seriously thinking of trying it.
I know that our friends here that sell GO may not be able to respond due to legal reasons, but I am hoping that an average Joe may have tried this and could tell me your experience.
Thanks!

OK, sorry if I missed it in an earlier post but I have seen a combo pack on gotech's site for a 7pt .21 and pipe combo. Does anyone know where I can get that in the states and for how much $$ ??
Thanks.
Thanks.

The RTR or Sport range of Go Engines are all Gen 3.
The Pro Range of Go Engines are the ones that are continually developed.
We have already designed the Gen 6 and 7 engines. The new Gen 6 is being tested as we speak and should come out in the new year if we are happy with it.

On a side note, will the RTR or Sport range on Go Engines ever be updated to a newer Gen series? If so when would this be expected?

How many gallons are the go motors lasting? I always hear about Nova and RB motors lasting 10-12 gallons before a rebuild is necessary. I don't have time to read through 146 pages so I hope I ma not repeating a previously asked question. Right now I am looking at the 5 port motors. RB, Nova and thought if the Go's are lasting just as long and can save a few buck then I would give one a try.

Run in correctly, the Go's will last 10 gallons plus and provide excellent performance. Bang for your buck they are hard to beat.
Retro RC who posts on here regularly has a Go 7 port that has now done 11 gallons + and is still running sweet and finishing in the top 3 in A main events against other top brand motors that are twice the price of the Go's. I think he put new bearings and piston/sleeve in at around 8 gallons (not an expensive exercise with the price of Go parts).
Here is a quote from an earlier post a few weeks ago -
"You did tell me your trusty motor was a Gen 1, but my head is still a bit fuzzy from 3 days of nitro fumes and rum rtd´s. That makes your efforts even more outstanding
Anyone who knocks Go motors should be reading this. Gen 1 7 Port, 2 years old, 11 + gallons, one set of bearings and a piston / sleeve - kicks butt over big dollar ¨name brand¨ motors. Good value for your dollar - I definitly think so"
Give the 5 port a try, you will be very pleased with the performance, especially the bottom end torque. If you want a top end screamer that still has good pull down low, go for the 7 port.
The newer Go's tune a little different than other main stream motors due to a long tapered LSN needle they use, but once tuned in they have excellent performance. Break in and tuning details are posted on this thread. PM me for details if you get one.

I have not found anything on a Go that was not interchangeable with a Novarossi. I have a Go crank and rod in a p5x that runs awesome and Tq'ed a rc pro series race in a Truggy (Steve Hale was there) I have a Rb C6 sleeve and piston that I dropped in a 3 port race. I only have time on it up and down the driveway but it rips. I like to only run what I sell so I haven't raced it.
As far as the ealier post about how many gallons you can get through a Go. With any motor it depends on how hard you push it. If you run a motor as hard as possible to get the most power and fuel economy expect atleast 2-3 gallons less than if you ran it richer. The Go's hold up very well, I would say the piston and sleeve hold there pinch as good or better than any italian motor. Cranks hold up almost as well as most italian motors, I am confident you will get twice as many gallons on a Go than an Os V-spec. The best part is the price of the Go parts, a Go rod is $18.69 vs. $50.00 for a nova rod or even more for some others.

Hey Go-tech guys, I am looking into getting into the 1/8th buggy class after having previously run truggy and have my eye on the 5port pro motor if I do so. The tracks around here are tight and clay surface based so I go for the low end grunt of the 5port opposed to the 7port. With that said, I have a few pipes already in my posession but I am not sure how well they will apply to this motor in a buggy. I do not rmbr what model Tsais pipe, but it was supposed to be low range and I also had a Jammin JP1 as well as a stock pipe off a eight.
I am wondering how workable any of those would be and if not, I guess I will be purchasing a Go pipe at the same time as the motor.
thanks in advance.
