I took the venturi out of carb and made measurement without insert.
My idle gap was already set at only 0.55 mm.
So Grizzly I'm not sure if the problem lies in to wide idle gap!
Maybe is something with carb? Mine is exactly the same as here on the picture:

I will insert 8.0 mm venturi, set idle gap to 0.7 mm, set HSN 1/2 turn in from flush, set LSN 2 1/2 in from flush and go to our track, to try those settings again.

i believe that pic is of the old style carb and the new style carb does not have the silver end to it. correct me if i'm wrong

Hi all
I run a Go .21 3 port sport engine and I'm lost on glow plugs for it.
I've read here use an OS #8, but that's a short plug.
from Amainhobbies.com "Note that O.S. engine plugs are SHORT body plugs and should only be used in engines that require a short body plug. O.S. plugs should not be used in Novarossi, RB Concept and most other motors manufactured in Europe.

"This is one Go Technology #5 Medium glow plug for engines that accept long shaft plugs (basically any engine except OS engines)"
Which one of the following should be okay to run as I'm on my last Go #5 plug.

O'Donnell sport medium (purple) standard
By the way I finished 3rd in our Sportsman Buggy class this past weekend. This engine is tough to tune and ever changing even after 1 gal. I guess with alt at 3400ft above sea level.
My low speed needle is set at almost 3/4 turn out from flush.
I finally found my flame out issue. The high speed needle o-ring looked fine and no signs of an air leak from the needles, but since I looked at every possibility I changed it anyways and poof flame issue gone.

Tech Tip for the Go Engine Pro Range ( or any engine for that matter )
if you find the HSN weird to tune do the following
un screw the HSN all the way out and remove
hold slide closed
detach pressure tube from the pipe and blow in like you were priming
careful not to look directly at HSN brass coupler or you will get fuel in your eye.
you will notice some gunk come out .
make sure HSN needle is clean and replace
Re tune HSN to normal setting .
This is called flushing . Over time you can get dirt and gunk in your HSN which makes your engine go rich and then lean for no apparent reason.

I have motors and some Vp tires in stock.
This last weekend we were ath the X Games in Minnesota, my sons Go's ran flawless. He finished 3rd in pro buggy and 4th in pro truggy. Ryan Lutz dominated both classes, my son was running second in buggy and crashed on the last lap and Brent Thielke got by for second. He was running a Go gen 5, 5 port with a 0801 pipe, 8mm restrictor.
