Gents

I run a 2 gallon old 7 port turbo with the hn2047 pipe in my mbx5t here in the uk.i run mugen clutch 2 alloy 1white shoes with 1.0 on alloy 0.9 on white.
I run the rb carb with 8mm restrictor, top end flush and bottom in around one turn.
The clutch i run is to make car easier to drive as white shoe allows clutch to slip.
Most tracks here in uk are around the 40sec a lap mark and high grip.
I want to make 10 mins but cannot seem to lean it enough without bogging out of corners.
If low end is lean the car will bark out of corners then suddenly acclerate as it comes onto HSN
am i not lean enough on HSN as i tried brian suggested settings of HSN flush LSN 2 turns in off another forum, car was rocket but suffered lean bog when it got hot.

My GO 3Rs TQs and wins both Buggy and Truggy at Round 4 of HARC series in Houston.

Both engines ran great all day!

These engines are awesome!

Default Typical 3R carb settings?

I just finished breaking in a 3 Port R spec. I know the settings will vary based on weather conditions, but what are typical race tuned carb settings for the HSN and LSN? Please give settings from flush condition.

I am new to Go engines and I heard they tune a little different than other engines.

Hi guys

Just wanted to check some settings with you to see if they seem right.
Have a .21 3 port in my buggy and trying to get a decent race tune on it.
I have the HSN 2 turns in from flush and the LSN set what seems to be really lean to avoid it bogging on acceleration from idling at a standing start for 5-10 secs or so. Just wanted to check this needle setting really just to make sure i don't do it any damage - I'm new at this nitro stuff!
I'm pretty pleased with its performance overall, i just want to make sure the settings are in the ball park before race day.

Thanks in advance

Have you tried to go lower than a 8mm restrictor for the runtime?

So I managed to overheat my engine pretty good yesterday when the return line came off the pipe. Temped at 326 and temped at finish of 306. Ran it overheated for 15 minutes.

Im going to take it apart today and look for any damage. I only have under a gallon on it so hopefully its still pretty tight.

Hey guys, I just talked to Mugen46 on the phone.
He asked me to tell everyone that he will be getting
to your PM's as soon as he can. Unlike most of us, he
had to work this morning. I have got to say, after talking
to him, that he is good people and he will be getting all
of my motors to put the Twistin to.

I don't think you should worry much, I have almost 3 gallons through my 5 port and I've overheated it now 3 times, twice before the 1.5 gallon and one more at 330deg at the last RC Pro race a week ago and this sucker is still tight, hard to turn it by hand but still get to turn it tho, but I think you should be fine, what fuel do you run? I run 16% oil content so I guess that helps too but if you run like 11% or below well that could be a different story.

Hey guys, pm's sent.

the 2050 is good on the 5 ports, it has mean bottom and the top is very nice, and the 5 ports get awesome runtime with both os pipes 2050 and 2060, i will have to say though, the new GO 0801 really inpressed me this weekend on the stock 7 port, temps where at 230 240 all day with 7 min qualifiers, and was coming in with a littlw less than 1/2 tank, i ran the 8mm insert and tilted 30, i broke the motor in with the out of box shimming, no extra added shims, i have 1/2 a gallon on it so it will only get better.

I would also like to add that PTM team driver Jeremy Newsome TQed and took the a-main win at woodsracing opening race running a PTM 5 port turbo
