What pipe and plug are you using? And what fuel?

No worries Brian, I bow to your superior knowledge on that one In the process of breaking in a new 7 Port with Dynamite 053 for my buggy at present. Following your break in procedure as listed on page 78 of this forum.
Had a small problem getting the first tank through until I discovered I had an air leak in my fuel tubing were it connected to the tank. Now that is sorted everything is sweet. I am running flush on the HSN with head in tin foil and the LSN a little fat. Temps are around 115 - 125 deg C. If I take the foil off they drop to 100 - 105. Sound about right ?
Given my trusty 5 Port a minor overhaul, and it will now be my spare. Thought long and hard about getting a 3 Port R, but the 7 Port seems to be the weapon of choice for guys running Go-Tech's in their buggies here. The two tracks we run are fairly tight, but with longish straights and the 7 Port seems to be well suited. Can't wait to get it bedded in and give it a whirl.

Hello PPL

I Run a 5 Port Go Tech Engine. It came with insert for normal plug, and I recently bought a Turbo insert Plug.

Can you help me and tell me how much shims should I run with Turbo Plug?

Is The Novarossi C5TC Hot plug is goog for this engine or should I use another plug?

I running 7.5 Carb insert and I'm thinking to change for the 7mm, is this ok?

Best Regards,

Bruno from Azores

Which venturies work on the Go engines.
My 3 port R has the 8mm and i'm thinking on removing it completely or runing the 9mm.

What will be the performance with no venturi at all in it?

I think performance will increase but at the same time it is going to run leaner because have more air going into motor and the same fuel as before so you might have to richen it up if the temps get too high.

BCruz 7 is fine thats what I run.

vti you will gain a little bit of power, but will loose run time. You shouldnt have to retune, unless its running hotter. I went from 9mm to 7mm and didnt chnge my tune at all and it runs perfectly.

i wouldnt remove it completly as that would cause restriction because its not a smooth flow going into the engine without the venturi

Go engines run short threaded glow plugs like the OS plugs, I believe the Novarossi plugs are longer so I'm not sure if it will run alright with it, if you can get OS glow plugs, run them! P3 is what I use in my 5 Port Turbo.

I believe people likes to use the Dynamite 053 Midrange pipe on the 7 Port. And I think the 08 models should be in stock by now but i'm not sure.
