Which pipe for 5 port?
One from Hong Nor 2047 or 2062
OR the LRP 2063

For best fuel economy!

If you don't need a EFRA legal pipe then the Dynamite 086 is the pipe to get for the 5 Port. They are affordable and the 5 Port really likes this pipe. Great economy too. I am running one on the 5 Port Turbo in my truggy and it rocks !!!
If you need a legal pipe then the either the 2047 or the LRP 2063 are great.
Massive Mods suggests the LRP pipe for truggy, as it has a little more torque, and the 2047 for buggy.

for the Go .25 run the 086 or 2047 pipe, but if your running on a short high bite track a 053 will work very well...the engine is shimmed for 30% out of the box, so no need for reshimming...

Vantage sent me a BU120L-04 for testing. It's like an 053 with a 98mm "J" header. So far so good. I need to do more testing though.

Just a couple of questions guys: I fitted a turbo head button today and headed off to the track for a test run. Wicked
Temps were a little higher than usual so just wondering if this is tied up with the turbo button. I was running standard head with Go #5 plug before and running consistantly at 110 C at the end of a tank. Running LRP #6 with turbo head and ending tank at 120 C which is a little hotter than I would like (yeah I know temp means nothing, but I normally like to keep my engines below 120 C). I did hear these GO engines like to run a little warmer ??
Power with turbo plug was awesome by the way. Crisper response and lots of wheel stands off the jumps My friend was running an identical truggy with a .28 (not sure of make) and we were racing each other pretty hard from a full tank. He was consistantly running out of fuel when I had a quater tank left, plus I was blitzing him for power !! He is planning to get one as soon as he can. Got to love these GO engines

My modified Go Tech 5 port runs best at 120-135 so i wouldnt worry about temps too much, if its going hard and still blowing smoke then you have nothing to worry about. I run 25% nitro and 15% oil and on pull down its in great condition.

Yes these motors run better hot and for the price even if it wore out a bit faster than most engines the power and revs i get out of mine are simply amazing IMO.

I get 10.5 mins out of a 125cc tank using standard Hyper 8 Pro exhaust, seems to work very well on the engine.
Swapped to an OS Vspec other day for a triai, gained more bottom end but doesnt have the top end power revs that the Go Tech puts out.

change to a better pipe!!!!!!!!! there is NO way a Vspec should be putting down more bottom end power than the Go 5port...i know from personal experience with both engines...

Jason....maybe I can talk to you some at WOR. Looking for a new motor for '08 for buggy. Deciding between a Ninja and a GO. I will be at the WOR race. Running 1/8th scale expert, 1/10th scale and maybe under 40 (hey, might as well get practice while you can). Would love to get a look at the motors. Do you run stock or mod motors and turbo or non-turbo?

Thanks,
Casey Wright

I live in Europe so for us here it's mostly EFRA pipes.

Are the GO and Hong Nor 2047 pipes the same?

What power range do they have?
