i have a points series race Jan. 20, so i have to have the motor before then. would you think the 3 port would be available by then? im curious as to how much a difference there will be between the 3 and 5 port motors.. whether it will be worth the wait..

also, i know its hard to tell, but do you think some of the online vendors will have the 2047 pipes in stock in the next week or two? sounds like the pipe to have from what ive read! thanks guys!

I think he's out of town for the holidays or something. I PM'd him a few days ago and still haven't gotten a response. Usually he's pretty quick about responding to PM's though. Just a heads up...

Yeah sorry guys I was out of town for Christmas, but I am back now.

Voodoodaddy, thats great news thanks for giving the engines a shot.

Derricklong, congrats man the 7port rips just be patient and make sure you use the correct pipe and clutch and when its set up right it is hard to beat.

Boadazofa, Go carbs are available at amainhobbies.com, if you want to try a different brand, O.S. and Novarossi carbs will fit.

Dgraham225 it may take a little longer for the pipes to be available then what you will need to race on the 20th, remember you want to have your engine broken in before heading to a big race so you will need to burn 1-1.5 gallons till the top end breaks in. The pipes should be available by the 20th so if you have another pipe you can use for break in then it would be worth the wait. Estimated cost on the Go tech pipes should be $84.99.

We are still waiting on our test 3port race engines, but discussion with the factory have said that the engine is very similar to the 5port, so I would expect a engine with strong bottom, good mileage, and a fast spool up. If your used to a p5x I would say get the 5port and you won't be dissapointed at all.

alright, thanks man! so ill go with the 5 port now and buy the 3 port later just for shits and giggles, haha! question tho, how does the 5 port work with the JP line of pipes? i have a jp-2 right now that i used with the p5x, but i can get ahold to a couple different ones. the track is a fairly small tight layout, around 33-36sec lap times. thanks again!

With that size track, a 053 or a 2060 would be great if you can find one and the 086, dynamite makes those as well and for less, the JP pipes are are good, but you can get more runtime out of the others, and try the turbo button

DG225, the 086 is a good pipe for the 5, the best i can describe the feel of the 2047, is like a Honda CRF 450R, hard pulling bottom but smooth, and the top end of a R6 LOL the GO pipe is killer

Boadazofa get the GO carb, you will save some money and still be able to get the GO carb insert set and still spend less compared to the other carbs.
