IF YOU HAVE A FUEL FILTER TAKE IT OUT.! RUN STRAIGHT TUBING TO CARB! If you are seeing alot of air bubbles in line chances are it's the filter. I learned that lesson the hard way. Thought it was tight,sealed the thing sucked air like a smoker on an oxygen tank. I did the same thing . New tank,and tubing,sealed engine,until some one with experience said get rid of the fuel filter. Bingo ran like a charm. Just had it happen to me a few weeks ago. took fuel filter out of line, hooked direct problem solved. One of the vets here said a fuel filter is really just for more run time as the tank has a filter in it any way. I have seen guys run 2 filters. They take out the inside stone,bingo extra mileage. If you do not have fuel filter in place check your tubing,just replace it. Then check to make sure the nipple coming out of the tank is on tight. Don't strip it checking. But I have had as well as probably everyone on this thread at one time or the other had fuel tubing that rubbed up against something causing the tiniest hole. The other thing you can do is put the tank in water seal off one end[going to carb] blow into tank. If there is a leak you will see it. Makes pretty bubbles under water.
By the way, this fuel tank is a year old. Haha it needs to be replaced anyway.

Okay I'll try with no filter on first. Then I will try and not to heat the carb up so it won't burn the fuel. If that all fails I will buy a new tank, tubing, and fuel filter. Does this sound good?

Loose the fuel filter. Most tanks have good quality stone filters in them. The fuel filters just cause air bubbles and a shit load of trouble in my experiance.
The fuel evaporating in the carb and forcing remaining fuel away from the carb and back down the fuel line is VAPOUR LOCK - because it involves fuel being vapourised.
Flooding the engine and jamming the piston in the bore with fuel is HYDRO LOCK - because it involves fluids, as in hydraulics.
Flame out is anything that causes the glow plug to be extinquished or the combustion process to cease - Very rich, extinquishing glow plug. Very lean, just not enough fuel to burn. Faulty plug etc, etc.

Rex if he black coated,wouldn't the front half be coated also? because it is not. When I opened it up to clean and I use a special lube on all moving parts,the crank end did not look black like the other ones go-tec had put out for a while. But it did not look grayish silver either. I am thinking he may just do the back end so his signature shows up.I am going to take the break in shim out today and retune. Maybe take it to the track and see what she's got. I have only been able to get 1/2 throttle around the back yard. Seems like it has a whole lot more to give.

Thanks for the info Grizz. It never happened to me at the starter box so I had no clue what vapor lock was. I assumed vapor and hydro were interchangeable because of the word lock.

Hi guys,
Just came from a great weekend of racing. Bad luck on A-Main as i got problems with my buggy and had to retire leading just 4 minutes before end of race, but anyway im very happy with the performance of the car, engine, tires, etc ... and the best of all, just having time to spend time with friends at the track.
A friend shoot couple pics of my car in action, so i share with you, hope you enjoy them :






A comment about GO .21 7 Ports that im using on my Buggy. I tested for runtime 7.5mm insert and 75% carb openning and tuned that way, this was a big size track and i ended having 11 minutes and 30 seconds runtime at racing pace ... and was able to keep up with Novarossi's, RB's (WS7III and C6) and OS's no problem in the straight and infield ... very happy with the results of testing this ...

Just take the fuel tank out, put it under water and blow in the fuel lines. That will show the leak's well it did for me showed me i had a bugged O ring

With 3 liters through the MG66 I started to lean it a little this morning at the track..have been getting 9m30 runtimes with a 7mm insert and very rich mix..leaned the hsn in a 1/4 turn and it started to really scream..another 1/4 turn in and it went mad...runtimes jumped to a steady 11m45-11m50..top end is totally insane..I am going to try the 6.5 insert..can anyone confirm that GO are supplying a 6mm insert with the GX series??? I got 6.5 as the smallest in the MG's box..If not I'll be hunting a 6mm down online..
This is the maddest thing I have ever driven..It screams like a banshee after just 3 liters..pinch feels little reduced from brand new..I think the fact GO relaxed the initial pinch on their motors is a fabulous idea..easier on the starter box and less stress on internals period!
Oh how will I wait 2 gallons for the ceramics etc..more to the point how will I keep it on the ground!

Yes bud on the 5 and 7 port only, for now.
Mark wants me to do some testing on the 66 soon !
Will get back to you on how I find it.
Will be running 2072 at ACT as I have got the 66 tuned etc for it and don't want to mess with it before a big race meet, then when I get back I'll try the 2013 sirio.

this is for mulik? You asked me to get some nitrile seals from massive mods awhile back. Here's what I am using OFN37070 or grizz's fuel tubing trick. with the seal I put a little after run oil on them to make it easier to twist in. They are not super tight but not loose either.

hi, running a 5 port on 20% nitro, was wondering if an OS #8 plug would work with this combination. Not sure what plug is in there now, its go a red ring around the top of it. Might be Odonnel but cant find them any where.
