Petevette, you will like the 7 port very much with that pipe. what are you running it in, you can get close to the same feel on the bottom when clutched correctly, and it has a crapload of top, the stock 7 port is smooth, so maybe a little more aggressive on the clutch and you will be very happy, or another pipe, i like the 1005 on my 7 ports, plenty of bottom without killing the top end. a pipe i havn't tried yet is the 2045, i hear it is working very well on the 7 ports, and GO is making their own 2045 version.

The 086 pipe is probably best for out door tracks. I seriously doubt that there's an outdoor track with high enough traction to handle using an 053 pipe on the 5 port. I only use the 053 indoor on an ultra high bite clay track. But man, is it great under those circumstances!

Hi Massive, from what I heard regarding those .28's the cylinder head broke away from the crankcase. Ended up in two seperate bits, not due to any internal damage, but just sheared through. Strange one heh ?
I'm thinking now maybe I should not have mentioned it on here. The Go Tech motors are awesome, and I don't want to appear to be rubbishing them. Just thought you guys might have heard of similar incidents. These two events could be purely coincidental.
Anyone reading this should not be put off buying a Go tech. I am very, very happy with my 5 port. As far as performance value for your dollar goes, you can't go past a Go !!

Hey Russell......hope things are going well!
I have a customer that is interested in using the 7 port turbo for his 1/8th scale onroad. Has anybody done this? Opinions?
Thanks,
Jay
P.S. Russell.....I cant find your number, can you PM it to me? Thanks

Petevette, here is what I'm doing at this very moment, breaking in a fresh modded 7 port turbo, i have a 2060 sprung to it and i'm going to run it that way on our small inddor track, i have AE sgoes with two 1.1 and one 1.0 with the 16 bell, this is where you would normally run 3 or 5 ports with the track being so small, low 13 second LT's try this set up and let me know what you think, I'm going to try and hit the Psycho nitro blast in GA, the straitaway is a little over 200 FT, this motor should feel right at home. they make enough bottom but are still smooth, you will be happy.
